PETA conducted a controversial live advertising campaign where models laid on the street covered in fake blood and packaged like meat to protest the treatment of animals. The display, called "None of us would like to end up like this.. neither would other-than-human animals", aimed to evoke empathy for animals by portraying humans as the packaged meat that people purchase. PETA's message is that just because meat is neatly packaged, it does not mean the consumer is not responsible for the killing of animals.

just because you didn't

doesn't mean you didn't
take part in killing.”-
