Add color to everyone’s digital communications.
Vision
Give creators the power to earn more, create more, and
make everyone’s life more exciting.
Mission
To support creators by giving them simple tools that
monetize the newest creative outlets.
Service Statement
If creators aren’t getting paid, we aren’t building a
company where our mission is being fulfilled.
Core behaviors are the most important aspect of our culture. Individuals
who adhere to the behaviors receive ownership and responsibility faster.
Core Behaviors
1. Culture is a group of people repeating behaviors.
2. When people say they like our culture, they’re saying they like
the way we treat each other, our vision, our customers, and our
creators.
What is Culture?

Consider how our creators work to earn a living and making that process better.
Over Serve
You go above and beyond what is expected to help those around you.
Learn Fast
Always find ways to learn faster and better.
Open Communication
Say what’s on your mind, while always being respectful.
Respect Time
Place value on your teammates’ and creators’ times.
Deliver an unusually great experience to our creators.
Our business is creators’ income and rent checks— a responsibility we do not take
lightly. We exist because of, and in service of, creators. There is a creator behind
every graphic on our properties and we treat them as human beings, not users.
As we scale, we will do everything we can to make sure we always treat our
creators as humans. As a business, we will invest in Community Happiness and
Creator Care. These teammates will be on the front lines of taking care of our
creators.
Creatives FirstC
Inspire those around you with a positive attitude.
Do more than is expected of you and what you believe you
can do — push your personal boundaries.
Over ServeO
Our company is surrounded by people who are obsessed with
learning and personal development.
Test your hypothesis as fast as possible — so that you learn as fast
as possible.
Learn FastL
Give positive or constructive feedback to your teammates —
but make sure you do so in an extremely caring way.
Having open communication will set us apart from most teams
and allow us to both collaborate together and learn together.
Open CommunicationO
Great communication is important. Place a high value on your
teammates’ time by communicating in clear and succinct ways.

At Pop Inc., every person is a “cultural add” rather than a “culture fit.” We hire people who can
bring new experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds— but everyone must demonstrate
these behaviors to be successful:

We operate our company in a very transparent way so that everyone on
every team has the context to make phenomenal decisions.
Transparency
1. Key information could leak and damage the company.
2. Information could be interpreted wrong without the
correct context.
3. The team could feel information overload via oversharing.
4. People might share problems before having solutions;
doing this too many times can impact the teams
confidence in leadership.
5. Negative news will create added stress, it will also allow
you to learn fast.
Downsides of Transparency
While transparency is important at our company, we want to share some
downsides so that we can avoid potential issues with being so transparent.
These downsides are worth the risk. Transparency gives everyone in our
company the context they need to make phenomenal decisions.
1. We hold open Q&A all hands meetings.
2. Weekly team meetings will have public, viewable agendas.
3. We share board meeting notes and takeaways with the company
after each meeting.
4. All metrics for the business are available in public dashboards.
5. Leadership and finance will present company growth and plans each
month.
6. Any time we do a company-wide survey, we share results and
actionable next steps.
7. All team goals are published in a single place that can be tracked by
anyone at Pop Inc.
Ways We Share Important Information
We build an inclusive environment because we believe that gives us the
best chance at helping creators earn a living through our products.
Diversity and Inclusion
Study after study shows that diverse and inclusive teams outperform
teams that lack diversity and inclusive.
We must be a team that is as diverse and wonderful as the community of
creators that we seek to serve. Being inclusive is the right thing to do.
We want ideas at Pop Inc. to be challenged by different ideas and
backgrounds to ensure that we always land on the best decisions. Without
a diverse team, we don’t have the various perspectives that lead to
phenomenal decision making.
The is no such thing as a “candidate” or “person” who is diverse.
Teams can be diverse (or lack diversity), not individuals.
—
Diversity means teams made up of people who have varying
perspectives, backgrounds, and beliefs.

Spending
Running a business is challenging. We must be
sensible with our spending.
As a profitable company, we decided to raise a small amount of venture
capital for a few reasons:
Spending
1. It allows us to focus on our work and product better.
2. It allows us to make decisions that benefit us in the long term rather
than short term.
3. It allows us to take bigger bets when we see promising opportunities.
We did not raise money so that we could spend lavishly.
If it’s important or crucial to our success, we should spend thoughtfully. If
spending lets us fund our creatives better and faster, we should spend.
How We Think About Our Spending
If it’s not crucial to our success, we should pinch pennies (travel, meals, etc.).
However, we should not pinch pennies in a way that impacts employee happiness.
We want our creative community to approve of every dollar we spend.
The Bottom Line
If creators visit our office, we want them to have confidence that we aren’t
building an extravagant lifestyle off of their hard work.
We recruit and retain high-performing, empathetic, and
COLOR.-driven people. You cannot be just one of those things.
People
We hire people who are here to help creators get paid.
We hire people that feel like the work that they do at Pop Inc. is important.
We hire people who want their individual work to directly contribute to
team efforts and the overall company mission.
By hiring COLORful people, we can
build a better world for our creators.
Expectations
We aim to slightly overpay and slightly underwork our employees.
When you have great work-life balance, with extra cash in the bank, you’ll
do better work and help drive our company towards its mission.
