Our US-headquartered client is at the centre of the global transformation to a connected
world. It is a signal transmission solutions provider delivering connectivity, networking and
cybersecurity solutions. The business is organised across two major platforms: Industrial and
Enterprise. Its high level strategy is to increase revenue in higher margin and strategically
important products. It is pursuing organic and inorganic opportunities in fast-growing
regions.
Our client:
• Is listed on the NYSE
• Is fast-paced, deeply entrepreneurial and with a long heritage. The culture is data
orientated and commercially driven. Continuous improvement is a way of life.
• Is generating year-on-year revenue growth, EBITDA in turn is increasing year on year
• Has invested over one billion dollars in acquisitions in recent years
• Has capitalised lean techniques which has driven impressive productivity gains

COMPANY
Reason for recruitment: Targeted growth in both Industrial and Enterprise Solutions. Product line managers are
being sought for each of these business areas. These are landing roles for future general
managers due to expected growth and business demands. Candidates would be expected
to have GM potential and will have already taken steps to have begun that journey.
Products: Enterprise Solutions: copper and fibre connectivity, data centre rack, cabinet, power & cooling
solutions, audio and video systems. Also, structured cabling systems, extended LAN, data
centre facilities systems, access control, building systems automation and camera mounted
fibre systems. Intelligent wired and wireless products that include industrial Ethernet switches
and related equipment, fiber optic interfaces and converters used to bridge fieldbus networks.
Industrial Solutions: Industrial Ethernet cable, cord sets & accessories, accessories, data bus
cable, multi-conductor cable, VFD cable, flex cable, fibre optic cable, instrumentation
cable, armoured cable, portable cordage.

Culture: A company with a strong, numbers driven commercial culture. A highly acquisitive,
fast changing business that is rapidly demonstrating ‘best practice’ behaviours within its
functions. Communication between employees is to-the-point and open. Leaders are

• Have collaborative leadership experience from the building, broadcast or consumer-orientated connectivity systems
businesses. Or, be from an industrial products or systems business. .
• Have excellent financial acumen
• Have clearly demonstrated leadership skills and values
• Be persuasive and be able manage leaders’ expectations
• Have a college degree in engineering. MBA is preferred
