INTRODUCTION
Mushroom is a palatable food accepted by
people as daily diet and alternative to meat and
fish. Also it is a vegetarian diet but gives nutrition
of non- veg such as some essential amino acids,
vitamins and minerals. Straw, the main raw
materials is plentily available. There is no
constraint to get spawn, as so many spawn units
are there in the state. Nowadays people are fond
of consuming mushroom in different ways like
curry, snacks, soup, salad, mixed with rice and
pickle etc.

120kg/month.
 Oyster Mushroom :- 2kg/bag and for 225 bags
450kg/2 months.
 Income :

Physical Target
It has been envisaged to target Tura area ,
since it is going to be a small unit. It will target
the Hotels , Restaurants , Catering Agencies ,
Locality People , House wives , Friends ,
Relatives , etc,.
Competitors
As far as my research there is hardly any
competitor . Local people sells only the wild
mushroom in the local market , which might turn out
to be poisonous since it is a wild mushroom from the
forest .
Financial Requirement
As the Project cost is Rs.86,765/- , it is proposed
to provide 100% subsidy on this small unit . Financial
support will be given by Department of Horticulture
through the MIDH Scheme (under Krishi Unnati
Yojana ) .Funds will be released only after the
construction of Mushroom House/shed and 1st
cultivation and production of Mushroom .
Note:100% subsidy for women .
Mushroom House
• Construction of mushroom house/shed.
• Spawn running room .
• Cropping room .

• The sale will be done at unit itself and supplied to the
restaurants and hotels .(extra delivery charge ).
• Packing will be simply done by plastic bag and tied
with rubber band (after weighing).
• It can be kept for selling at grocery stores at
chandmari , araimile , ringrey , super market , etc , .
Permissions , tax , laws , etc ,.
• Permission from municipal board is not required as
the unit is away from municipal area.
• Tax is not required as it is an agriculture product and
is sold within the town area.
• License from FSSAI.
Conclusion
Thus , we can conclude that it is a quick returning
crop with 50% to 100% profit . It is another source
for self employment of unemployed youth ,retired ,
college or school drop-outs.
Thank You
