for a science fiction movie entitled 'Y'. He had
initial talks with Marlon Brando, Steve McQueen
and Peter Steller. Upon Colombia Pictures demand
the movie was later set to be called 'The Alien'.
However eventually the ambitious project was
cancelled.
He later viewed Steven Spielberg’s‘ET: The Extra-
Terrestrial’ at the Venice Film Festival in 1982 and
