• In May Red Pill Development launched a new
approach to modernizing Notes applications.
The product was called redpill Mobile and
allowed organizations to add a mobile interface
to all their Notes applications in a short period
of time (one week).
• Red Pill Development is introducing a new
version of this product which we are calling
redpill Now.
• The name change has become necessary as we
expanded the reach of our unique
modernization solution to include a responsive
Web client. Now it is possible to truly transform
your Notes applications by quickly adding both
a mobile and a responsive desktop client to
your portfolio of IBM Notes applications.

In the latest release we have completely revamped our
approach to scanning Notes databases creating a new
capability called redpill Forensics.
Where possible redpill Forensics undertakes a
sophisticated DXL analysis of each Notes database to
collect the important meta-data necessary to
modernize all those applications.
The forensics is conducted in such a way that no
changes are made to those existing applications. An
important factor in reducing the risk associated with
any modernization project.
Redeveloped using Java, the forensics process is
designed to conduct a scan of thousands of databases
in a few hours allowing Red Pill to undertake a

week.

The development cycles of mobile applications are
typically much faster than traditional development. To
meet this challenge Red Pill Development is moving to
increase the frequency with which it makes new
features available in redpill Now.
The original plan to make new releases available on a
quarterly basis will be retained for those organization
not (yet) able to introduce updates faster.
Moving forward Red Pill Development will provide the
opportunity to customers and partners to receive
updates on a more frequent basis so that they can
keep their portfolio of Notes applications fresh and
modern like never before.
Notes applications that once had not received an
update for many years can now have incremental
value added every few weeks or months. This is going
to change the way your customers perceive Notes
applications.
