This document proposes a new magazine called "Rookie" that will feature up-and-coming R&B artists. It will include interviews and advice from established artists, free music tracks from unsigned artists, and quizzes. The target audience is people aged 18-25 interested in hip-hop and R&B. The magazine will have a red, black, and white color scheme and use Times New Roman font for a professional look. It will be published digitally by Spin Media, known for similar culture magazines.

ROOKIE MAGAZINE Magazine proposal
Title of publication • The title of my publication is called “Rookie” I picked this name because this magazine is made for up and coming artists.
Chosen musical genre • The musical genre I am picking is RnB, it is an abbreviation of Rhythm and blues and is very popular amongst African American cultures. I picked this genre because there are many up and coming artists that could contribute to a magazine.
Content I will include • The kind of content I will include is, big artists that have made a name for their selves in RnB and ones that would like to, receiving advice. I will also include free tracks for people to promote them selves this would be my regulars. Quizzes will be included. My features will be of tips from already established artists, given to the up and coming artists via an interview. • What makes my magazine different is the fact that the public get to discover unheard of artists first, before they’re publicised. Rookie magazine gives it to them first.
Design features • My magazine will have a Times ne Roman font through out the contents page and the front cover. This gives it a more professional look. • Colour scheme that I will be picking is, Red, Black &white. All of the main attractions and major headlines will be in Red to give it a pop of colour and draw in the audience. • The masthead will be in Red as it is the biggest thing on the page and the font will be in times new roman.

Who will publish my magazine • “Spin Media” will be publishing my magazine as they also publish for vibe magazine. They are a digital publisher which have a number of pop culture websites. • This publication Works well with the hip-hop culture and portray it perfectly.
Target audience • My target audience will be for the ages between 18 – 25 vg. • My target audience will also be for people who are interested in hip-hop and RnB. • Although my magazine is for both male and female. The content will appeal to the men more than women. • My price would be around £2
