The traditional way to manage site security with CCTV and other systems is with 2D site plans Which show 2D versions of 3D camera fields of view, and building roofs invisible to staff on the ground
And banks of CCTV screens Which provide no context and give the operator a very isolated and blinkered view of the environment
But what if you could view your site as a 3D model … enabling operators to better understand the context of what they are seeing
You could not only show CCTV coverage in 3 dimensions … making it easier to appreciate dead-zones
But also see the live CCTV footage overlayed within the model
And what if your operators could even step out into the model... To see it from the point of view of the officer of the ground, and build up a visceral knowledge of the site

Designed to supplement your existing Physical Security Information Management systems Securescape provides an immersive, multi-user 3D environment in which to manage live incidents
The underlying 3D model can be as simple or as detailed as budget and time allow .. can include interiors as well as exteriors, and be developed from plans, models, survey or open-source
Securescape lets you position your CCTV cameras, define their coverage and integrate their video feeds
You can also bring in other sensors, such as ANPR and FaceRec cameras, IR and video fences and access control systems and have them alert within the model
You can bring in overlays showing additional 2D information, such as sterile and no- loiter zones or utility asset overlays
And have GPS feeds from mobile officers update their location on the model – and even combine that with mobile CCTV feeds
But why stop at traditional information sources?
Securescape can also bring in social media feeds such as Twitter, so you can see what the public is doing on or around your site
And with photography feeds such as Flickr you can even see what photographs they are taking, all displayed in a vertical time- line
So when an incident hits you not only have all this information at your fingertips ... … but your operators can have a visceral understanding of the site, even if they are based many miles away
So they can give officers on the ground meaningful directions based on a 3D model not a 2D plan And even ride cyber-shotgun for them checking out routes ahead!
