This document discusses self-confidence and its importance. It defines self-confidence as having a belief in one's own abilities. There are three types of self-confidence: low self-confidence where one avoids risks, optimal self-confidence where one acts with confidence despite criticism, and overconfidence which involves an inflated ego. The document provides tips for building self-confidence such as believing in oneself, gaining knowledge, overcoming fears, being positive, learning from past failures, avoiding comparisons, and envisioning oneself with high self-confidence. Having self-confidence provides advantages like greater well-being, success, and fulfilling interactions with others.
2. WHAT IS SELF CONFIDENCE?
Having belief about yourself and your abilities. In order to achieve our vision, we
need “wisdom” (holistic intelligence with experience) and “Determination and
Enthusiasm” For that we need “Self Confidence”
Self Confidence means ‘Trust to ourselves with full of inner strength.
These are our means and tools to make our dream or purpose come true.
3. TYPES OF SELF CONFIDENCE
Low Self Confidence
Optimal Self Confidence
Over Confidence
4. LOW SELF CONFIDENCE
Staying in our comfort zone, fearing failure
and so avoid taking risks. Some Points
are,
“I can’t find happiness.” This is the paradox
that confuses even the smartest people.
You need to learn how to set yourself up so
that success and happiness find you
“Life has nothing more to offer me.” This
statement is another mistake that people
make. It is a mistake because the
statement is inside-out, in reverse. Instead
it should read: “What do I have to offer
life?”
5. OPTIMAL SELF CONFIDENCE
Doing what you believe to be right, even if
others mock or criticize you for it.
Make Decisions with Absolute Confidence.
At Optimal Self-Trust you’ll learn how to:
Release self-doubt and replace it with self-
confidence
Make crisis-time decisions with swift and
total clarity.
Stop beating yourself up about past
choices.
Listen to what you want instead of needing
others approval.
6. OVER CONFIDENCE
Often we come across people who are over
confident i.e. egotistic and stubborn.
Generally these people have the so called
‘Superiority Complex’
A condition of over-approximating one's
capacity to perform or under-
approximating the capacity of an opponent
to perform.
An unsupported belief or unrealistically
good presumption that a favoured result
will arise.
Overconfidence is generally not an
attractive trait in anyone.
7. WAYS TO BUILD SELF CONFIDENCE
• Believe in your abilities.
Always trust in your own abilities.
Even when you think you can’t
……because YOU CAN.
Believe in yourself. If you don’t
believe in yourself, how can you
expect others to believe in you.
8. GAIN KNOWLEDGE
One can gain
knowledge without
having experience. But
one can not gain
experience without also
acquiring knowledge.
9. OVERCOME YOUR FEARS.
Master it, or build a partnership
with someone else who is not
fazed by that fear.

10. BE POSITIVE
Stop repeating negative
thoughts to yourself and
replace them with positive
ones
You can’t live a positive life
with a negative mind
11. EXAMINE YOUR PAST FAILURES
Don’t punish the present self for
the past mistakes, go beyond
them
We all fail, but not all get up. It
happened a long time ago, MOVE
ON!
Look at the past to gain
experience to overcome future
problems.
Our past and history has given us
experience so we know how to
respond.
12. Stop comparisons
• My neighbour is better than me in
this. You are better than him in
many other ways
• So what? Everyone has their own
share of problems, focus on your
own
• No one can lead your life, stop
trying to compare them to you,
they are not even close
• Your life, your rules – No one has
a say in that!
14. WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?
– Let’s start with one thing at a time!
•What is the one thing you think you
cannot do?
•Again, not a list, just that one little
thing which is most important to you
•Why do you think you cannot do it?
– Resources/Talent/Expertise?
The first step is in acceptance and if
you ask me, you have already
started
15. WHAT DOES ACHIEVING THIS MEAN TO YOU?
• Does this mean that you can
achieve your goals better?
• Does it mean that you can solve
bigger problems?
• Does it mean that you are capable
and successful?
We are talking about just the what,
we will get to the why soon.
16. WHY ARE YOU AFRAID OF IT? WHAT ARE YOUR REASONS?
• I have tried it before and it has not
worked
• I have seen more intelligent
people try and fail
• I don’t have it in me, I am not
capable enough
Be honest, not to me but for
yourself, why do you think you
cannot do it?

of, focus on what you want.
