Problem Statement List down 3 problems with your CEO hat (write them in proper problem statements) with explanation of their root cause and their solution. Problem Statements 1. Lack of efficiency in managing uploaded materials due to the absence of built in programs that can create and edit uploaded files. 2. Limited creativity in slideshow outputs due to its inability to incorporate transitions and effects in the presentations uploaded. 3. Difficulty in accessing uploaded materials when systems are down due to the online browsing nature of the program. Root Cause & Explanation Solution (by the product) Root Cause: Slideshare does not have a built-in program for creating and/or editing materials that are already uploaded. Explanation: Slideshare is built mainly to share materials that are already created. Although it does not support creating and editing materials, a user may upload different files such as powerpoint presentations, pdf, word documents, audio and videos. Root Cause: Slideshare does not support transitions and effects present in powerpoint presentation and other slideshow programs. Explanation: Slideshare follows a linear format in presentation that is more useful in presenting formal presentations which provides more clarity. Root Cause: Materials uploaded in Slideshare can only be accessed online. Explanation: Slideshare’s main goal is for its users to upload and share materials, thus operating online makes it easier for its users to share their files. Slideshare allows its users to upload different types of files such as powerpoint presentation, word documents, pdf, audio and even videos to compensate its inability to create and edit files on Slideshare itself. Slideshare compensates its inability to incorporate effects and transitions on its presentations by providing a linear format that is useful for clarity. Furthermore it converts presentations to codes that are easily embedded and shared to other users. Slideshow presentations uploaded in Slideshare are downloadable enabling users to access the slideshows offline or when the systems are down.

To satisfy Slideshare users by providing tools in the program that will allow the users to create and edit their slideshow presentations so that they will be able to efficiently manage their uploaded materials. 2. To develop a system that runs smoothly by providing maintenance that will check and update the system regularly to avoid system crashes. 3. Goals List 2 goal statements for each objective above. Take note of techniques in writing IS goals. 1. Gather feedbacks and ratings from Slideshare users that will be evaluated monthly. 2. Keep track of the system’s performance using a line graph to be evaluated weekly. 4. Benefits List down 2 tangible benefits and 2 intangible benefits for each goal above. Tangible Benefits: 1.
