The social studies department has several curriculum projects planned for the summer of 2008 including updating the grade 8 law seminar, exploring a new grade 12 government program, realigning the honors history assessments and curriculum, collaborating on a global education program focusing on Asia, revising the grade 12 economics portfolio, and creating new aligned assessments and digitizing the elementary curriculum.

6. Grade 12 Economics Portfolio Revision of the research assignments to better reflect An increased emphasis on the global economy and the emergence of India and China The “flattening” of the world economy
