1.The Yadukula Kamboji version of this Malayalam Keertanam
,on Guruvayoorappan originally set in Sreeragam, was
popularized by Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar and is
supposed to be the last Keertanam he sang before his death. The
Keertanam have featured multiple times in malayalam movies
prominent ones being 'Ganam'(1982) rendered by Vani Jayaram
and Anandabhairavi(2007) by Arjun B Krishna.

2. This song has been used for thematic purposes multiple
times in Malayalam cinema. The broadcast of the song version
composed by G Devarajan Master for the movie
'Enippadikal'(1973) was banned by the All India Radio. A
