The Telephone And Alexander Graham Bell By Chloe and Katie

How it was invented Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone on March 7th 1876. Although people say he was the inventor, Antonio Meucci was the first man to have a telephone. Alexander Graham Bell was the one who โ€œre-madeโ€ it. Alexander wanted a simpler way to communicate over long and short distance. The first thing he said on the telephone was to his assistant, Thomas Watson. "Watson, come here! I need you!โ€ Were the exact words.

About Alexander Graham Bell Alexander Graham Bell was born on March 3, 1847 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was the son of Alexander Melville Bell and Eliza Grace Symonds.
