video game publisher financial support. Indie
games often focus on innovation and rely on digital
distribution.

1.Donut County

 A physics-based puzzle game in which you maneuver a hole in the
ground that grows each time it swallows something.
 In addition to evoking the spirit of beloved puzzler Katamari
Damacy, the brief hands-on demo at Fantastic Arcade
demonstrated just how many clever directions the simple
premise can be stretched, like triggering events by using the
hole to move too-large objects rather than swallow them.

 A free-for-all fighting game featuring colorful anthropomorphic
blobs doing hilariously gruesome things to each other.
 Perhaps the most widely known game on this list, Gang
Beasts has already started to garner a following thanks to its
electric energy and unexpected slapstick comedy
 That combination of exhilarating local multiplayer and dark,
hilarious hijinks that emerge organically from the action actually
caught the attention of Double Fine Productions, who recently
picked up the project.

For those of you who don't know, Five Nights at Freddy's is a
truly unique horror game.
The gameplay aspect is somewhat simplistic, but it truly plays
into the atmosphere of the game.

 Road Not Taken isn't the most logical game out there, but it is a
blast to play and explore.

 This indie game has a lot to offer. It may not be an extremely
revolutionary game, but it's multiplayer is extremely addictive.
 It lacks complication and it's in a great way. If you have a PS4
and two controllers, Towerfall Ascension is easily the best local
multiplayer game out at this moment on the PS4.

 This game comes out fairly strong as it captures the feel of old
timey platformers.
 The game feels like a tribute to old school platformers and holds

 Shovel Knight is a ton of fun, but it also brings out a nostalgic

8.The Banner Saga

isn't too much you can knock about The Banner Saga.
 It is easily one of the best indie games to come out over the
years.

9.Transistor

 Breathtaking. That's the word to describe Transistor. It has
beautiful visuals, creative combat, and an enthralling story to go
along with it all.
 The only thing preventing this game from being No. 1 is its
length. The game lasts roughly 6-7 hours, but that time is oh so
well spent.

10.Divinity:Original Sin

 This game, Original Sin is bringing back the CRPG genre. It has
an interactive story, strategic combat, and you can go about it in
many different ways.
 Customization is very in-depth when it comes to your actual
character, despite the actual character customization being
somewhat lackluster. The game takes 80-90 hours to beat and it
is fun to play with a friend.
