The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is based in Geneva and is part of the United Nations. WIPO manages international treaties involving copyright, patents, and trademarks and has 183 member countries. Organizations from civil society can participate as observers at WIPO, but they must apply once a year and provide documents describing their mission and governance. WIPO holds two meetings lasting 10 days each year to discuss issues relating to intellectual property rights.

Non-Governmental Organization
The text of its constituent instrument (articles of incorporation, bylaws, etc.);
an indication of the date and place where it was established;
a list of its officers (showing their nationality in the case of an international NGO);
a complete list of its national groups or members (showing their country of origin in the
case of an international NGO);
a description of the composition of the members of its governing body or bodies (including
geographical distribution in the case of an international NGO);
a statement of its objectives;
an indication of the field or fields of intellectual property (e.g., copyright and related rights)
of interest to it.
