     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He held the office of Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations.1 William Martin Hill usually went by his middle name of Martin.1 He lived at 260 Snowden Lane, Princeton, New Jersey, U.S.A.2

     Sir Maurice Bonham Carter was born on 11 October 1880. He was the son of Henry Bonham-Carter and Sibella Charlotte Norman.2 He married Lady Helen Violet Asquith, Baroness Asquith of Yarnbury, daughter of Herbert Henry Asquith, 1st Earl of Oxford and Asquith and Helen Kelsall Melland, on 30 November 1915.1 He died on 7 June 1960 at age 79.3
     Sir Maurice Bonham Carter also went by the nick-name of 'Bongie'. He was Private Secretary to the Prime Minister between 1910 and 1916, HH Asquith.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1916.4 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1917.4

     Lady Anne Charteris was born on 29 July 1829.1 She was the daughter of Francis Wemyss-Charteris, 9th Earl of Wemyss and Lady Louisa Bingham.1 She married George Guy Greville, 4th Earl of Warwick, son of Henry Richard Greville, 3rd Earl of Warwick and Lady Sarah Elizabeth Savile, on 18 February 1852 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 16 August 1903 at age 74 at 4 Berkeley Square, London, EnglandG.1 She was buried on 19 August 1903 at St. Mary's, Warwick, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered on 5 October 1903.1
     From 18 February 1852, her married name became Greville. After her marriage, Lady Anne Charteris was styled as Countess of Warwick on 10 August 1853.
