Major Henry Chaytor1

     Major Henry Chaytor was born on 5 April 1686 at Croft Hall, Yorkshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Sir William Chaytor, 1st and last Bt. and Peregrina Cradock.1 He died on 17 October 1717 at age 31 at York, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He was buried at Croft Hall, Darlington, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the British Army, under the Duke of Marlboorugh.1

     Sir Henry Cheere, 1st Bt. was born circa 1703.1 He was the son of John Cheere and Sarah (?)1 He married Helen Randall, daughter of Sauvignon Randall, before 1730.1 He died on 15 January 1781 at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He was buried on 29 January 1781 at Clapham, Surrey, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in January 1781.1
     He was a sculpter, having a large practice.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) in 1750.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Middlesex.1 He was appointed Knight on 10 December 1760.1 He was created 1st Baronet Cheere, of St. Margaret's, Westminster [Great Britain] on 19 July 1766.1

     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cheere, of St. Margaret's, Westminster [G.B., 1766] on 15 January 1781.1 He lived at White Roding, Essex, EnglandG.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
