     Jean Halyburton was the daughter of Patrick Halyburton.² She married, firstly, John Olipher before 1701.¹ She married, secondly, James Dewar, 1st of Vogrie, son of James Dewar of Carrington and Heriot and unknown wife (?), on 13 February 1701.¹ She died on 1 March 1708.¹
     From before 1701, her married name became Olipher.¹ From 13 February 1701, her married name became Dewar.

     James Dewar, 2nd of Vogrie was born on 22 December 1701.¹ He was the son of James Dewar, 1st of Vogrie and Jean Halyburton.² He married Katharine McGeorge, daughter of Reverend William McGeorge, on 17 November 1723.¹ He died in September 1760 at age 58.¹
     He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 24 March 1760.¹

     Reverend William McGeorge was the Minister at Pennicuik, Scotland^G.¹

     Katharine McGeorge is the daughter of Reverend William McGeorge.² She married James Dewar, 2nd of Vogrie, son of James Dewar, 1st of Vogrie and Jean Halyburton, on 17 November 1723.¹
     From 17 November 1723, her married name became Dewar.

     James Dewar, 3rd of Vogrie was born in October 1727.¹ He was the son of James Dewar, 2nd of Vogrie and Katharine McGeorge.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth McCullough, daughter of John McCullough, on 24 December 1769.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Cutler, daughter of John Cutler, on 24 April 1779.¹ He died on 15 October 1788.¹
     He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1756.¹ He was a founder member of the New Club Edinburgh, which bought his Edinburgh house.¹

     John McCullough lived at Barholme, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Elizabeth McCullough was the daughter of John McCullough.² She married James Dewar, 3rd of Vogrie, son of James Dewar, 2nd of Vogrie and Katharine McGeorge, on 24 December 1769.¹ She died on 30 April 1774.¹
     From 24 December 1769, her married name became Dewar.

     James Dewar, 4th of Vogrie was born on 13 October 1770.¹ He was the son of James Dewar, 3rd of Vogrie and Elizabeth McCullough.² He married Caroline Cumming, daughter of Colonel Sir John Cumming, on 19 April 1792.¹ He died on 29 April 1826 at age 55.¹
     He gained the rank of in the 42nd Highlanders.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Midlothian.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Midlothian.¹ He was commander of the 1st Regiment, Midlothian Fencibles.¹

     Colonel Sir John Cumming was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹
