     Charlotte Thompson is the daughter of George Nesbitt Thompson.² She married Sir John Hadley D'Oyly, 8th Bt., son of Sir John Hadley D'Oyly, 6th Bt. and Diana Rochfort, on 1 December 1819.¹
     From 1 December 1819, her married name became D'Oyly.

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Charles Walters D'Oyly, 9th Bt. was born on 21 December 1822.¹ He was the son of Sir John Hadley D'Oyly, 8th Bt. and Charlotte Thompson.² He married, firstly, Emily Jane Nott, daughter of Maj.-Gen. George Nott, on 25 September 1855.¹ He married Elinor Scott, daughter of James Winter Scott and Lucy Jervoise, on 5 June 1867.² He died on 11 July 1900 at age 77.¹
     He was educated at Addiscombe Military College, Addiscombe, London, England^G.¹ He fought in the Gwalior Campaign.¹ He fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Bengal Army.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet D'Oyly, of Shottisham, Norfolk [E., 1663] on 21 March 1869.¹

     Maj.-Gen. George Nott gained the rank of Major-General in the Madras Army.¹

     Emily Jane Nott was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. George Nott.² She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Charles Walters D'Oyly, 9th Bt., son of Sir John Hadley D'Oyly, 8th Bt. and Charlotte Thompson, on 25 September 1855.¹ She died on 12 May 1857.¹
     From 25 September 1855, her married name became D'Oyly.

     Mary Lushington D'Oyly was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Charles Walters D'Oyly, 9th Bt. and Emily Jane Nott.² She married Lt.-Col. Arthur Francis Bernard on 4 April 1877.¹ She died on 31 May 1930.¹
     From 4 April 1877, her married name became Bernard-D'Oyly.

     Lt.-Col. Arthur Francis Bernard married Mary Lushington D'Oyly, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Charles Walters D'Oyly, 9th Bt. and Emily Jane Nott, on 4 April 1877.¹ He died on 20 May 1915.¹
     He lived at Combe Raleigh, Devon, England^G.¹

     Annie Emily Jane Stuart was born on 14 February 1838 at Penang, Malaysia.¹ She married Colonel Henry Ibbetson Lugard, son of Reverend Frederick Grueber Lugard and Grace Price Morgan, on 4 May 1859 at Madras, India.¹ She died circa 30 May 1941 at Ashley, Oak Park Villas, Dawlish, Devon, England.¹
     From 4 May 1859, her married name became Lugard.¹

     George Fendall D'Oyly was born on 3 November 1824.¹ He was the son of Sir John Hadley D'Oyly, 8th Bt. and Charlotte Thompson.² He died on 10 August 1859 at age 34.¹
     He was educated at Addiscombe Military College, Addiscombe, London, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 67th Bengal Native Infantry.¹
