Theobald Bourke, 3rd Viscount Mayo1

     Theobald Bourke, 3rd Viscount Mayo was the son of Miles Bourke, 2nd Viscount Mayo and Honora Bourke.2,3 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Talbot, daughter of Thomas Talbot and Anne Fleetwood, after September 1634.3 He married, secondly, Eleanor FitzGerald, daughter of Sir Luke FitzGerald and Hon. Mary Netterville, before 1649.2 He died on 15 January 1652/53 at Galway, County Galway, IrelandG, shot.3 His will was proven (by probate) on 4 December 1693.3
     He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.3 He was created Baronet Bourke [Scotland] circa 1638, however there is no record of this creation in the Great Seal.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Mayo [Ireland] between 1640 and 1649.2,3 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Mayo [I., 1627] in 1649.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bourke [S., c. 1638] in 1649.2 In December 1652 he was found guilty by Cromwell's High Court of Justice, in Connaught, of murders committed in hte rebellion.3 His last will was dated 6 March 1691.

Francis Bermingham, 14th Lord Athenry1

     Francis Bermingham, 14th Lord Athenry was born in 1692.1 He was the son of Edward Bermingham, 13th Lord Athenry and Bridget Browne.1 He married, firstly, Lady Mary Nugent, daughter of Thomas Nugent, 4th Earl of Westmeath and Margaret Bellew, on 22 September 1716.1 He married, secondly, Ellis Agar, Countess of Brandon, daughter of James Agar and Mary Wemyss, on 17 August 1745.1 He died on 4 March 1749/50 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
     He succeeded as the 14th Lord Athenry [I., c. 1280] on 3 May 1709.1 On 19 June 1709 he was conformed to the Established Church [Ireland].1

     Lady Mary Nugent was born in 1694.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Nugent, 4th Earl of Westmeath and Margaret Bellew.1 She married Francis Bermingham, 14th Lord Athenry, son of Edward Bermingham, 13th Lord Athenry and Bridget Browne, on 22 September 1716.1 She died in July 1725 at County Galway, IrelandG.1
     From 22 September 1716, her married name became Bermingham.1

     Sir Adomar of Strathbogie was the son of David of Strathbogie, 10th Earl of Atholl and Joan Comyn. He married Maria (?)2 He died on 14 April 1402.
     He was Member of Parliament (M.P.) and Sheriff Northumberland.2 He was granted lands of Mitford and Marderfen, Northumberland, which had belonged to his mother.2 In 1360 he was granted Manor of Filton by his nephew, 12th Earl of Atholl.2 He had two daughters.1

Thomas Nugent, 4th Earl of Westmeath1

     Thomas Nugent, 4th Earl of Westmeath was born in 1669.2 He was the son of Christopher Nugent, Lord Delvin and Mary Butler.2 He married Margaret Bellew, daughter of John Bellew, 1st Baron Bellew of Duleek and Mary Bermingham, in 1684.2 He died on 30 June 1752, without surviving male issue.2
     He gained the rank of Colonel of Foot in the King James II's army in Ireland.2 On 11 May 1691 he was outlawed.2 He fought in the Siege of Limerick, in command of a cavalry regiment.2 In 1697 his outlawry was reversed.2 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Westmeath [I., 1621] before April 1714, during his brother's lifetime on the grounds that as a professed religion he was legally dead.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Delvin [I., 1451] in April 1714.2

Sir Alexander Balliol1

     Sir Alexander Balliol was the son of Alexander Balliol, 1st Lord Balliol (of Cavers) and Isabel of Chilham.1 He died after 1346.1
     He lived at Cavers, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.2 He held the office of Lord Chamberlain [Scotland]. On 12 October 1301 at Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, EnglandG, he was a prisoner.1 On 28 March 1310 he was released from the Tower, with his father as surety for his loyalty.1

Isabel FitzRoy1

     Isabel FitzRoy was the daughter of Richard Fitzroy, Baron of Chilham and Rose de Douvres.1 She married Sir Maurice de Berkeley, son of Thomas de Berkeley and Joan de Somery, before 12 July 1247.1 She died on 7 July 1276.1 She was also reported to have died on 7 July 1277.1 She was buried at St. Augustine's, Bristol, EnglandG.1
     From before 12 July 1247, her married name became de Berkeley.1 On 10 August 1254 the King granted her certain Manors.1

Sir Maurice de Berkeley1

     Sir Maurice de Berkeley was born in 1218.1 He was the son of Thomas de Berkeley and Joan de Somery.1 He married Isabel FitzRoy, daughter of Richard Fitzroy, Baron of Chilham and Rose de Douvres, before 12 July 1247.1 He died on 4 April 1281.1 He was buried at St. Augustine's, Bristol, EnglandG.1
     Sir Maurice de Berkeley also went by the nick-name of Maurice 'the Resolute'.1 He fought in the French Wars.1 He was appointed Knight before 1242.1 He gained the title of Lord de Berkeley [feudal baron] in 1243.1 On 14 December 1243 he had livery of his father's lands.1 He fought in the war in North Wales.1 In 1264 he joined the Barons against King Henry III.1
