     Alexander Stewart, 4th High Steward of Scotland was born in 1214.1 He was the son of Walter Stewart, 3rd High Steward of Scotland and Beatrix of Angus.1 He married Jean Macrory, daughter of James Macrory, Lord of Bute, circa 1243.2 He died in 1283.1
     He succeeded as the 4th High Steward of Scotland in 1241.1 He held the office of Regent of Scotland in 1255.1 He fought in the Battle of Largs in 1263, in command of the right wing.1

     James Macrory, Lord of Bute was the son of Angus, Lord of Bute and Arran.1 He died in 1210 at ScotlandG, killed by the men of Skye, along with his father and two brothers.1
