AUTHORS BEWARE

AUTHORS BEWARE! This company is dangerous and is stealing content. Not only that, they respond to DMCA notices with THREATS to expose your personal information to pirates. Here is a direct quote from Nicole on their support team. "Please note that we will provide your name, email address and the details of your report to the person who posted the content you are reporting." I wouldn't put any legitimate content on this website. I'm not the only author who is finding their books pirated and getting stonewalled.

Issuu publications are excellent

I have used Issuu for some years now as we offer a big range of bereavement books for children and families to remember their lost little ones and grown ups too. It provides us with all we need to create fantastic LOOK INSIDE the book and offers so much more. I had an issue this week and they resolved it and were most helpful.

Issuu and us

Issuu is user-friendly and has everything our company needs for creating a flip book. Their customer service really assist in easy to follow ways. And my two Zoom meetings were most productive guiding as well as advising. The interface on Issuu website I found had all that we needed. At this juncture we're part of the Premium plan and are very happy indeed.

Communication problem

This time is not a good feeling on me. I have sent the reply to the issuu billing team on June 20 to confirm the new price to continue the service, since I did not get any response then, and now my ticket is closed.

Why forcing public document?

Well, I just wanted to try your service, but forcing me to use a public document without a choice is a mistake. Why not try to change the model and let users try one document for free with the option for listed/unlisted?

I wanted it to work but I guess I'll use another option.

Reluctance

All works well and appears easy to set up. But for us (a small publisher) not keen on paying for a year up front. Also don't like 'ISSUU' displaying on the bottom of a smartphone screen, as well as the progress bar - we need maximum space on a smartphone to display the mag.
Glen Garcia was very good and helpful on live chat, but we are reluctant to go ahead because of the comments I have made here.

I had to report a copyright…

I had to report a copyright infringement, and my claim was dealt with very quickly and resolved with the greatest of help, and so they have gained my trust more now, despite me using their services for many years.

One star because customer service…

One star because customer service everything. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for the last two weeks, I've left three messages with no response. I have had to wait two weeks to get anyone to return my message. This is unacceptable. I upgraded my plan and I'm sure I didn't get my 30% discount, even though I accidentally chose the wrong plan.

NON-RESPONSIVE AND CLUTTERED SITE

I tried ISSUU but found the site was far from intuitive. As it was days ago, and in this busy world I find it hard to remember what I had for breakfast.
I do remember the site navigation was beyond my mid-level computer skills and given that I gave up trying to make property changes (2 page to 1 page display), something I would have thought would have been a breeze.
REFUND
More importantly, when I tried to request a REFUND the same day of purchase, niente, nada, rien, nothing. I finally had to initiate a disputed transaction via my credit card company.
This is not what I expect from a digital company in this day and age. It was not an experience that I enjoyed. The app may be very good, I won't dispute that and maybe I was having a bad hair day...but I am still waiting to hear the final outcome of my refund.
ONE STAR...that is the lowest category reviews can be listed. I am sure others will find the application very worthwhile...one thing can be said...it is fast in producing digital results....but that's it.
