A very helpful and proactive approach…

A very helpful and proactive approach from Nafees Sarwar and her "large sums" team helped immensely to shepherd my transfer through the minefields of KYC and AML.

As a result, the in/out transit time through XE was only a few hours.

No more delayed transfers

After a few frustrating multi-day waits for my "usually in minutes" transfers around the holidays, my last 7 - 10 transfers since then have been ready for pick-up within 5 - 10 minutes. Much happier now, and no longer thinking of switching back to my former transfer service.

Very easy to use App

Very easy to use App. Lots of options to transfer money. Amazingly quick transfer and confirmation. Other Apps had proved hard to use, slow and we encountered customs issues with US transfers etc. definitely our “Go-To” with family in Europe, US, Aus-NZ and when travelling.

Missing information

I send the same people money twice per year and frequently I am told there is missing information that must be filled out. The information was there last transfer. Where did it go? It is frustrating to get this information from people in other countries and getting the address formats correctly is also a challenge.

Account closed - no reason given.

Have used xe.com for a few years to send small amounts of money to our kids in UK, usually twice a year. Tried to set up our son as recipient in Australia but when transferring a very small amount of money, the transaction was cancelled and the account CLOSED!!! Customer support, if it can be called that, consisted of an email telling me a) the account was closed, b) it cannot be reopened, and c) that no explanation will be given. What a bizarre way to run a business/service.

1st attempt failed with interac…

1st attempt failed with interac transfer as bank cancelled transfer since your email showed on fraud intercepts.

Why limit referral bonus to phone transactions. It never worked for us. Waste of our time.

2nd attempt via bank transfer worked like before

XE.com is the future

I used XE.com couple times for international transfers just to try it. It’s straightforward no hidden charges etc. I will definitely be sticking with them from now on. The only thing that’s annoying when transferring money is having to find BIC, not sure why you can’t select a bank and account number without BIC. But that’s my only issue but I can live with it

Simply the best way to transfer money anywhere.

I have used XE for a number of years to transfer funds while overseas it is my preferred method rather than my bank. Recently the transfers having been going much faster. To say I am a satisfied customer would be an understatement. XE continues to improve its services which is great to see. I can't see any reason to go back to bank for international transfers.

Terrible and Unhelpful (Even worse now that they have “responded”)

I tried to use Xe for an emergency transfer to send money from the US to the United Kingdom. Xe was quick to take my money. However, for no clear reason they immediately closed my account after taking my money. Now, with my account closed, I cannot contact them and they still have my money. I had to use another service (which worked perfectly) to send my son the emergency funds he needed after being robbed on the streets of London. Xe is a terrible service and was completely unhelpful. I strongly suggest any user try another service. To make matters somehow even worse, response I just got was that they are going to refund my money. Not now mind you. But in 10 friggin days. Meanwhile they hold my money and do whatever they want with it while I wait. Their response only made it worse not better please please please do not use this service and find somebody worthy of your transaction.

Huge delay in transferring funds &…

Huge delay in transferring funds. Funds initiated on July 1st and received them on July 12th. I understand that there is a multi step process involved but the competing partners like Western Union have done it quicker when used during the same time frame. Was expecting to happen sooner & also limited update on the process didn't help. I would having better tracking to inform the user on the potential stage & expected date.

Sending money by ACH is a little slower than other payment methods. This is because we need to receive your money before we can transfer it to your recipient. This can take up to 3 working days. Once we’ve received your money, your recipient should receive it within 1-4 working days.
