Whom to vote in Nepal this time I am sad to say that I will not be voting tomorrow. I want to vote but things are not conducive and I am forced to leave it. It's a choice I had to make, while choosing the two priorities - building company and building nation. At this stage, I am just being logical here thinking I need to empower myself to be able to contribute much more in the future. I could have voted if there was a facility in the city of my residence - Bangalore that hosts good number of Nepali people. Sadly we don't have the facility, and this remains true for all cities in the World. A significant minority is going to be left out. As Nepal goes for election tomorrow, here are some of my thoughts. 1. Please vote if you are in Nepal and can make it. Do not think that its of no use as all people are the same. 2. Choose the "Best Guy' from the options you have. Do not choose the dumb guy in frustration. 3. Make decisions based on Person (33%), Party (33%) and overall National Need (33%). Nepal will need a stable government and voting the most probable winning party may help if you can't decide based on personal traits of the leader and the partys' policies. 4. Vote for change - do not vote to the folks based on experience. Experience has been of failure. We should not reward it. Punishing the failure will force everyone to perform. 5. Vote for some defined and clear vision and policies. Most notable national priorities should be: a) Developmental Vision for Nepal - do not vote for favoritism and populism; vote for Entrepreneurs and Visionary Leaders b) No Nepal Banda Promise - don't vote if any party do not make this promise. c) Writing Constitution on time - someone who is clear on his views and who has put forward a sample constitution. Party wth good legal and technical folks. 6. No Vote for Policians who do not have alternative Career - Any Politician needs to have a career and he should be good at something else other than showing up in rallies. 7. Vote for Youth, Strong and Decisive Leaders - our leaders will be representing us in National and International Level. This is a matter of our prestige. Vote for some strong guys, who makes us proud. He should be able to talk sense (other than criticising his opponents). 8. Vote for guys who enjoys good international reputation. This is important as in today's world, we cannot develop being isolated. After all, we aspire to become Switzerland or Singapore, and not North Korea or Cuba. 9. Do not vote for dividing forces. Ethnicity or religion based politics need to be defeated. Do not vote if anyone is seeking vote on the mere promise of developing a community. That can not happen. When a nation develops, everyone develop. Selective development can never happen in a big way. 10. Do vote for the ideology that you believe in. Let the World know what your internal belief is. Parties will align themselves in future accordingly. 11. Vote for the party that is supporting your view of Federal or Non-Federal Nepal. This is my small contribution to Nepal Elections, and I am not supporting or rejecting any party. This are just some of the major issues we need to keep in mind. I am hopeful for a successful election tomorrow. Let's build a Prosperous Nepal. Jai Nepal Note: I am a democrat and I believe in democracy, personal freedom, and rights to property. I believe in religious humanism and working for the Global good. I am not aligned to any political party in Nepal. I do like few leaders from several political parties. The immortals are not created always. It requires a world full of passion, amazing team and great passion to execute the plan to create something immortal.
I am giving this tribute to Sachin Tendular's Cricketing career that has just ended. One immortal brand has been created - Sachin. The World will always remember.
Team Sachin needs an applause. And, his life has a message for us that lies much deeper. Sachin is a amazing brand that India, and the World, has celebrated for last 24 years, and it is going to live for next 240 years.
I have one message to Sachin haters - I know Nibu Pani (Lemon Juice) is far better than Coke. World still loves coke, and will keep loving!
Thank you Kantipur for publishing this piece. #ILoveBooks
There are 3 stages of career growth - delivery stage, management stage, leadership stage.
Stage 1 to 2 : being dependable
Stage 2 to 3 : being proactive
If you see that you are not growing and your juniors are growing, just remember this and analyse it. If the juniors are better in these metrics, they will.
You should stop looking at your manager for your growth and improve yourself.
Are you ready?
God is inside us, and the basic human values say that you got to value yourself the most. This thought sees your inner you as the most powerful and important, thus you shine like the sun. The society thus becomes a consumer of your amazing energy.
Reverse to this is "I exists, because everything exists". This may sound more spiritual and value based but its not. This makes one believe that society is important than himself, thus undervaluing your inner self. This leads to pulling energy from the society and thus becoming a net consumer.
This is one logic that answers why Gautam Buddha, who left his mother in misery and left for enlightenment, is godly and spiritual.
