The Office of Equity and Diversity

The Office of Equity and Diversity provides strategic and collaborative equity leadership, including Goal 4 of WSU Vancouver’s strategic plan to promote an ethical and socially just society through an intentional commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging. The strategic objectives of Goal 4 serve to:

  1. Ensure equitable opportunities and outcomes for all student populations.
  2. Ensure equitable recruitment, retention, and promotion of employees across demographic groups.
  3. Cultivate and maintain a campus climate of belonging, safety and opportunity to thrive.
  4. Develop and employ an equity lens tool to be used across campus units and departments.

Centering and Holding SPACE

The Office of Equity and Diversity creates and takes up SPACE, a cohesive and strengths-based framing comprised of 5 action pillars that support the efforts of this office to build a community of equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, excellence and love at WSU Vancouver.

Land Acknowledgment

Washington State University Vancouver is located on the homelands of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe and Peoples of the Lower Columbia Valley. We acknowledge their presence here.
