Unknown value in hasGoal

[edit]

Hello, does anybody know about the "unknown value" element in hasGoal? Huñvreüs (talk) 17:45, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

RationalWiki article doesn't seem to exist—perhaps a link to a section might be better

Purpose

[edit]

{{edit request}}

Using Q114869071 as value for has goal (P3712) look as fantasy concept. Item Q114869071 currrently nominated for deletion (by me). Propose removing this.

Item Q114869071 currently nominated for deletion (by me). WildStranger (talk) 10:33, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@WildStranger: Q114869071 is provided by eight references. Once the Q114869071 will be deleted in Wikidata, then please re-state this request again Estopedist1 (talk) 11:13, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
 Not done, see comments above--Estopedist1 (talk) 11:13, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Estopedist1, Q114869071 currently linked from this single item, and this link seems to be the purpose of its creation in principle. This look as fantasy esotherical concept, that is incorrerctly (without reliable sources) applied to contemporary military topics. This request is made (and should be considered) independently of the request to delete the item itself (and before this event, not the other way around). Please reconsider your decision. When that item is deleted, this request will no longer be necessary. WildStranger (talk) 21:29, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@WildStranger: I am neutral here. Definitely the word "de-Satanization" has a lot of usage in Google search. Expert attention is probably needed here or someone who is willing to analyze the sources given Estopedist1 (talk) 21:42, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Let's have a look at the specific wikidata item we are discussing which is "Russian invasion of Ukraine". Where are sources for what is listed in its "Has goal"? Putin and killed by its regime trickster Prigozhin? Where are the RS the data should be based on? All should be purged until secondary RSs are provided.
And secondary RSs say that goals currently listed are not goals but excuses (see Disinformation in the Russian invasion of Ukraine
article). So those should only be relisted as these. Manyareasexpert (talk) 21:48, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Q114869071 is deleted. Edit request seems OK by now--Estopedist1 (talk) 14:20, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Cause

[edit]

"Has cause" "Neo-nazism in Ukraine"? Shouldn't these include undisputed properties only? Manyareasexpert (talk) 23:38, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Manyareasexpert: You can include statement disputed by (P1310) or statement supported by (P3680) qualifiers. You can also mark it as deprecated if there aren't enough sources. I think these are better options than removing the data completely. -wd-Ryan (Talk/Edits) 02:15, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
