"De Sousa" vs "Sousa"

n Portuguese of Portugal, the family name is just "Sousa". The "de" is usually just a randomly used particle, and always in lower case. We say "Mister Sousa ... " and not "Mister De Sousa ...". The form "De Sousa" is sometimes used by people of Portuguese origin living in foreign countries (e.g. Anglo-Saxon countries). JotaCartas (talk) 13:53, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
