activity
[edit]I miss being able to get information about the activity is carried out or are carried out in the building. For example, if today is a textile factory. Or if until 1943 was a wood warehouse. Or if the building housed a clothing store, a garage and an office of lawyers. --Dvdgmz (talk) 09:15, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
How to express: Hosted in this building
[edit]Embassy of Jamaica, Washington, D.C. (Q5369751) is hosted in the building 1520 New Hampshire Avenue (Q16154606).
Is there a way to express this relationship?
Thanks! Syced (talk) 05:31, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Syced:, I've added occupant (P466) to second item. As for the first... may be location (P276) fits? --Infovarius (talk) 14:21, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
- occupant (P466) sounds good! No need to add a relation back, it would be duplicating information. Cheers! Syced (talk) 06:29, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
Building as subclass of facility
[edit]Building is classified as a subclass of facility. However, wouldn't it be the other way around: a facility is a subclass of building? --Fantastoria (talk) 14:36, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Facilities can be non-buildings: cemetery (Q39614), spaceport (Q194188), park (Q22698)... --Infovarius (talk) 17:59, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
Add construction-began property
[edit]As in skyscraperpage (example). For example Q1434444 has "Construction Finished" in 1897, that is the Wikidata Property:P571 (inception) or Property:P1619 (official opening), but Wikidata has not a "Construction Began", that in this case was 1881. --Krauss (talk) 00:09, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
