I'm fine with correcting all current PRC provinces
[edit]to be about the "Chinese" provinces through howevermany changes since they first got (most of) their current names like Henan currently does.
However, that involves changing almost everything about the information here, which is specifically and exclusively about the PRC province. In particular, once we have a "general province" entry, we need a second "PRC province" entry to handle things like the ROC province "replaced by" section. The ROC province wasn't replaced by a second province waiting in hiding since the 14th century. It was replaced by a province formally established by the Communists in 1949.LlywelynII (talk) 13:17, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
Actually, since we already have an entry on the Ming provinceTemplate:MdashHenan (Q11141551)Template:Mdashto hold the original founding date and no good way to dab it here (and no other province following suit having that number anyway, I'll just remove it here in place of the actual founding date for this entity with all the data and links.LlywelynII (talk) 13:31, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
