--Aktron (talk) 18:23, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

Railway line maps as P18
[edit]Hi Aktron,
please talk to the railway guys here before you mass import pictures. Now we have many cases, in which the same file is used for P15 and P18, which is tedious to fix. Cheers, --Sascha GPD (talk) 11:10, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
- Sascha, yep, this was my fault. I mostly import villages/cities/tress or similar stuff. I did not expect the P18 to be used for maps on Wikipedia so frequently. Do you have a list of misuses, so I can do the reverts myself? Thanks! --Aktron (talk) 15:02, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
COAs of Polish villages
[edit]Hello,
I see you adding COAs as a property to Polish villages entries. But this is wrong. These COAs are mostly COAs of municipalities (which consist of several villages, up to hundred), not villages having same name as gmina. Moreover, sometimes village's COAS is different than gmina's COA. Example: Miasteczko Krajeńskie - village's COA, gmina's COA. So yours edits are wrong.
Regards Lajsikonik (talk) 04:52, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for the notice! Not all of them are wrong, as it is the case with Czarny Dunajec vs. The Wikidata entry. I will check that. --Aktron (talk) 06:04, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
Slow down
[edit]Hey, doing too many edits in short period of time is causing servers to have trouble. Please get a bot flag and use that instead or I have to block you due to violation of WD:Bot policy Amir (talk) 14:03, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- Please stop the tool NOW. Amir (talk) 14:04, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- All activities stopped right now. Sorry for that, but using teplate harvest earlier did not cause any problems to anyone. Moreover, the tool was encouraged by the WMCZ community for us to use. Nobody said anything for a bot account to be needed, although the nature of edits in this way is more than clear. --Aktron (talk) 14:07, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- No worries and thank you for helping out adding data to Wikidata. I definitely encourage adding these data too but without bot flag, the system gets into trouble. Please do so. Amir (talk) 14:10, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- By "trouble" do you mean unintelligible Recent changes or server load? I mean, I would like to know :-). Your point is well timed - there will be a wikidata workshop tomorrow in the WMCZ community so people might learn more about the Bot policy you've mentioned. As far as I know the guys nobody is using bot accounts. On the other hand, I might be wrong. --Aktron (talk) 14:19, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

- The graphs don't show any problems before 14:00 UTC, except slightly higher amount of enqueued jobs. What kind of problem was that? HarvestTemplates has throttle of 5000 ms (5 s) for non-bots. Matěj Suchánek (talk) 17:46, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
Images vs Maps
[edit]Hi! I've seen that you've imported some images from Wikipedias. Beware! Some of them are in fact maps. So they shouldn't be added as images of places, but as maps of places; different Ps. I'm correcting that on municipalities in the province of Ciudad Real. Thanks anyway for all your work! B25es (talk) 17:03, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hi B25es. You are absolutely right. On some wikipedias, users do not distinguish between the image and map image. I have found this at first when importing data from Turkish Wikipedia. I do random checks of my imports and when I see possible errors in the source data, I terminate the tools. However, it is not possible to be 100 % sure on this. Strangely, that today we had a Wikidata workshop here in WM CZ and I especially mentioned this very issue when talking about the Template Harvest tool. In case you have found some clearly defined range of edits that I made with errors, please give me a link so I can help to rever them! --Aktron (talk) 18:31, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
Hi, Aktron! I've found some more maps included as images in municipalities in Huesca province. Could you please double check? Frankly, don't trust es:wiki as distinguising images from maps. Thanks a lot. B25es (talk) 16:21, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- I'll try. Aktron (talk) 16:37, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
River lengths
[edit]Hi, Aktron. I wonder if you can stop importing river lengths because... units are not correct. This river is far longer than 104 meters. strakhov (talk) 13:06, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
- I know, bad parameter was chosen during the copying process. I already informed a local admin here with a request to change the metres to kilometres, hopefully it will be done soon :-( Aktron (talk) 13:25, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
- Done Všechny délky s metry jsem jednoduše odstranil. Můžeš to importovat znovu, ale už prosím správně ;) Matěj Suchánek (talk) 10:28, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- Díky. Úlevou budiž, že předchozí importy z cs sr ru a de byly bez problémů :-) Aktron (talk) 11:20, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

Request
[edit]Hello.
Can you create the article en:National Library of Azerbaijan in Czech, like the article cs:Národní knihovna Kosova which you uploaded?
Thank you.
Sarvathi (talk) 19:13, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- Depends. I created the national library in Kosovo due to the fact that the building is of yugoslav brutalism architecture, which I consider as something that is my interest. As about Azerbaijan, I have very small knowledge of the country only :-( Aktron (talk) 19:25, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your reply and apologies for my extremely late reply. I understand your reasoning. I withdraw that request. If you are interested, can you create en:Baku TV Tower in Czech Wikipedia? It doesn't require any knowledge about the country.
- Yours sincerely, Sarvathi (talk) 11:24, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
Place of birth
[edit]Hi! Editions such this are just wrong - firstly "place of birth" should be a city or hospital, not a country and secondly these editions are based on bad info from pl.wiki (author adds a country of birth without any reference as he just add a country which such athlete represent as a country of birth which is just terrible choose (it isn't accurate for hundreds of sportspeople who were born in one country and represent different one) and cannot be used without additional source saying where these athletes were born). 99kerob (talk) 18:57, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- Understood. Such edits will not be harvested in the future. Aktron (talk) 22:21, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Merge request for Nizami Park
[edit]Hello Aktron,
Can you merge the Wikidata page of Nizami Park (Q85864362) with the Wikidata page of (Q20026382) of Nizami Park? They are both about the same park.
Yours sincerely, 31.200.9.244 06:55, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- I withdraw my request, because the two Wikidata pages have just been merged by another user. 31.200.9.244 07:37, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Aktron, since there are other images available, I was wondering if this could be an alternative to replace the image you inserted. thank you for your time. Lotje (talk) 13:16, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
Roboticky přidaný popis
[edit]Ahoj, co to bylo za kiks, toto? Měl jsem podezření, že to je nějaký vandalismus či experimentování. ŠJů (talk) 02:08, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- Ahoj, není to experiment. Aktron (talk) 08:35, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
