Motivation
[edit](This proposal has been superseded by Wikidata:Property proposal/EMIS codes for Pakistani provinces.)
This will provide authority control for Pakistani schools, mainly those with a government affiliation. The present state of the property proposal allows for the codes of multiple EMISes to be safely used with a single property; I don't know if there are EMISes (or if they exist, how to access them) containing information about schools in Islamabad, the former FATA, Azad Kashmir, or Gilgit-Baltistan.
Given that there are distinct EMISes for the provinces of Pakistan, should there be different properties for each region (which would allow the ISO 3166-2 prefix to be removed)? Mahir256 (talk) 04:16, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

- @Mahir256: I did read your question there but I assumed you didn't have a good reason for splitting. If there were separate formatter URL's for each region or something that would be a justification; just shortening the codes I don't think is sufficient.
