Description	The Department of Basic Education of South Africa manages their institutions with "EMIS" (Education Management Information System) codes. Unfortunately the department publishes via XLS sheets and therefore don't meet the requirements for an external identifier with formatter URL, yet. Once the Education Department fulfills these criteria, this property should be migrated to an external identifier proper.

Motivation

Updating Wikidata items for South African schools has become tedious and prone to error due to many duplicate school names. Comment if it's stable number, datatype should be external-id. It doesn't matter that there is no formatter URL. If it's unstable, I'm not sure why it should be included. --- Jura 13:18, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
