Motivation
[edit]A simple public transport stop could not be found in the list of existing or pending transportation properties. This property is meant to describe how to approach an item by public transportation. The property could be included for any item (e.g. institutional building, hospital, school) in a city or any other location. The value is a close or nearest public transport stop (from Wikidata). --SemModAP (talk) 19:42, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Support looks useful for describing institutions and organizations in cities with public transportation. --IrvingBirger (talk) 06:55, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
- Support even though public transport stops get moved or renamed. This could be useful for many institutions and organizations. --WiseWoman (talk) 14:14, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- Support Can be used to connect Models of public transport and insitutions and organizations --Dansen89 (talk) 16:19, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose couldn't this data be fetched from OSM? Nepalicoi (talk) 13:49, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
- Maybe, but is it obvious to non-power users how to federate a query between Wikidata and OSM? --WiseWoman (talk) 14:24, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Nepalicoi: I don't think so, no. See [1]. If you have other information, please let me know. I also think OSM and Wikidata could be unified in so many aspects. --YaguraStation (talk) 18:48, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
