In fact, the holographic mind theory defends that the mind could be either the healer or the slayer. Thus, this paper is a contribution towards a more in-depth study of this theme of conventional medicine versus mind-body medicine, particulary to understand the gifts of quantum physics to life science and the art of healing, so that we might find an integrative medicine model (a holistic approach to health) that could explain some “incurable” diseases.

The author begins by referring to the magical concept of disease, passing through the classical Greek period, and the medieval and Renaissance vision, to the evolution of modern concepts proposed by psychoanalysis. The author references some practical examples about the importance of the mind-body relationship, such as the psychological steps experienced by the oncological patient, as well as the psychiatric disorder
In medical practice, the biomedical model is the most used model in the treat ment of patients, a... more In medical practice, the biomedical model is the most used model in the treat ment of patients, according to the Cartesian perspective, which defends the duality of the mind (domain of philosophy and religion) and the body (domain of science), where the body is treated as a "machine". In this regard, there are some research works that address this subject, through the intersection of science and spirituality. In the beginning of the 20th century, with the appearance of quantum physics (with the study of particle physics) and psychology (with the study of the mind), the Cartesian perspective was challenged by the works of Pauli and Jung, due to the deepening study of the mind-body relationship, which contributed to the appearance of the biopsychosocial model. In fact, medical sciences have faced clinical situations in which the biomed ical model does not respond satisfactorily to certain clinical events, as it is necessary to take into account other dimensions of the human being, namely in near death experience (NDE) and out of body experience (OBE). For example, in NDE and OBE, some patients have reported the experiences of "entering a tunnel of light that leads them to meet (sometimes) with relatives who have already left" through the phenomenon of "synchronicity", and the justification goes beyond of pathologies and medication effects (which promote hallucinations) defended by the biomedical model. On the contrary, there is a set of phenomena, with several levels of complexity, that go far beyond this restrictive perspective. In these situations, on the "edge of knowledge", the integrative model is the one that best suits this type of occurrences because it considers the various dimensions of the patient: body-mind-soul.

Wilson presented in the Seminar of Master of Science of Religions, which took place on March 22, at the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologia de Lisboa, in which it is argued that the intersection of science with religion and the values of spirituality, such as cooperation and altruism, gives a more promising perspective for the future of the species, namely the human one, contrary to what is defended by the Cartesian paradigm of separation of the mind (exclusive domain of philosophy, religion) and the body (exclusive domain of science).

Thus, some practical applications of the "theory of the evolution of consciousness" in Indian sacred art will be discussed, including the role played by the human body, as a fundamental "instrument" for expressing the devotion of Indians.

Thus, within this scope of investigation, this article will refer to the so-called "modified states of consciousness" characteristic of these transcendental experiences, which are promoted by prayer and meditation, leading to "heat release" and "muscle relaxation". These two cases of studies are part of the so-called "manifestations of the sacred" in the reality of contemporary society, which are studied by the Transcendence Neurology. This might contribute to a deeper knowledge of the role and place of ourselves in the Universe.

On the one hand, Western medicine has given more prominence to the empirical and "scientific" side in medical practice based on the biomedical model. On the other hand, Eastern medicine (Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine) has given more relevance to the philosophical aspect in medical practice, namely with the conceptions of "interdependence" and "cycles". They propose a new paradigm characteristic of Cosmodernity. It is based on the interdependence between different phenomena, where the various levels of perception of the “Subject” are interconnected with the different levels of Reality of the “Object” through the logic of the Third Included. These perspectives are a challenge to the Cartesian paradigm and Aristotelian logic that characterized society until Modernity.

This is achieved not only by scientific and technological progression, but also through the change of paradigm in the values of human being in order to manifest some Divine qualities on Earth, such as love, abundance, happiness and well-being with others. Yantra is an Indian Sacred artefact that might help an observer to transcend the dualism of the physical world described both in Indian art through the Rasa and science through the Logic of the Included Third of Transdisciplinarity. Yantra is considered to have been divinely revealed to Indian sages who have challenged some mathematicians in the building of figures of such complexity. Thus, the artist and/or engineer and the object created (whether it be a work of art or science) are interconnected through the "conscious mind". Nowadays, due to their importance, there is an attempt to draw them through computational art area (contemporary technology), under the "human-centered computing" category with emphasis on "visualization" and "interaction design". This researcher has suggested that a deeper study of this sacred Indian symbol (consisting of several polygons composed of the intersection of many triangles) is required in the future because it demands the cooperation of experts from different areas of knowledge, such as mathematicians, engineers, historians, psychologists, artists in order to solve a large number of conceptions and calculations that current computers are not able to perform accurately.

It also brings to light the theme that is fundamental for the sustainable development of the future generation of women in India, as defended by goal #5 of the SDG of the United Nations Agenda 2030, and linked it with goal #3 of the SDG of the United Nations Agenda 2030, that seeks to take care of all human beings in an integrated way (body, mind and soul), regardless of gender. This is described by the Transdisciplinary model of Reality and the “Hidden Third'', and put into practice by the «Invisible Girl Project», the Foundation for Reproductive Health Services in India (FRHS) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India.

However, Ayurveda (Eastern medicine) and mind-body medicine argues that the cause of some diseases, such as those in the psychiatric area (for example, a depression), is due to an imbalance between the mind (our thoughts, feelings) and the body, and so healing should also be done by the mind itself (through meditation, psychotherapy, etc.) in order to change the pattern of behavior that led to the disease (which is not relevant in Western and conventional medicine) – the psychological dimension of the human being . This "communication" is about the theme of conventional medicine (curative medicine) versus Ayurveda (preventive medicine) and mind-body medicine in order to describe the usefulness of integrative and transdisciplinary medicine – the bio-psycho-spiritual dimensions of the human being - that might contribute to goal #3 («To ensure healthy lives and promoting well-being for all, at all ages») of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
