A field experiment was conducted, to study the effect of growth regulators and micronutrients on
yield components and nutrient uptake of okra cv. Arka Anamika. Maximum fruit weight and seed
number per fruit was observed in the plants sprayed with GA3 @50 ppm, highest fruit diameter
observed in plants sprayed the plants with NAA@20 ppm and highest fruit length was recorded in
plants treated with triacontanol@4000 ppm. Among the micronutrients, ZnSO4 @0.4% recorded highest
fruit weight, FeSO4
@ 0.2% given maxmimum fruit length and Borox @ 0.2% recorded fruit diameter.
The uptake of N, P and K by plants was maximum with triacontanol @4000 ppm and GA3
@ 50 ppm.
Uptake of N maximum in plants sprayed with FeSO4 @ 0.4%, while P and K uptake maximum in plants
sprayed with ZnSO4 @ 0.4%. Growth regulators and micronutrients were foliar sprayed on 20 and 40
days after sowing
