A Solving the Model with No Transparency It is very important to emphasize that the evolution of agents’ beliefs about the future conduct of monetary policies plays a critical role in the Markov-switching model with learning. In fact, three policy regimes   are not a sufficient statistic for the dynamics of the endogenous variables in the model with learning. Instead, agents expect different dynamics for next period’s endogenous variables depending on their beliefs about a return to the active regime.
