- Die Nordmarmara-Autobahn (türkisch Kuzey Marmara Otoyolu) ist die dritte Umgehungsstraße der türkischen Metropole Istanbul. Sie verläuft zwischen Kınalı (bei Silivri) und Akyazı. Dabei umgeht die Autobahn auch die Städte İzmit und Sakarya. Die Strecke verläuft nördlich und parallel zu den Autobahnen Otoyol 3 und Otoyol 4. Die Autobahn tangiert die Otoyol 4 in der Nähe des Sabiha-Gökcen-Flughafens. Die Strecke schneidet viele Waldgebiete nördlich von Istanbul und führt nicht durch bebautes Gebiet. Als Gründe für das Projekt werden auf der einen Seite die Entlastung des innerstädtischen Verkehrs bzw. der vorhandenen Otoyol 3 und Otoyol 4 und auf der anderen Seite die Anbindung an den neuen Istanbuler Flughafen genannt. Die Autobahn wird mit dem Build-Operate-Transfer-Modell realisiert. Ein wesentlicher Teil der Straße ist die Yavuz-Sultan-Selim-Brücke, die im August 2016 eröffnet wurde. Die Strecke wurde bis 2016 zwischen dem Zubringer und Pendik (Kurtköy), wo sich der Anschluss an die Otoyol 4 befindet, erweitert. Am 20. Dezember 2020 wurde die komplette Autobahn für den Verkehr freigegeben. Die Strecke beläuft sich insgesamt auf fast 400 Kilometer. Seit dem 26. Juni 2021 ist zwischen Başakşehir und Nakkaş ein weiterer Autobahn-Abschnitt im Bau, welcher sich auf 45 Kilometer (inklusive Zubringer) beläuft. Nach Abschluss der Bauarbeiten soll der Sazlidere-Staudamm mithilfe einer Hängebrücke überquert werden. (de)
- The Otoyol 7 (O-7; English: Motorway 7), or Kuzey Marmara Otoyolu, is a toll motorway that bypasses Istanbul to the north. The motorway is 243km in length between the Kınalı junction and the Akyazı junction, and is 8 lanes wide (4+4 lanes). The completed section of highway crosses the Bosphorus Strait via the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which was opened in August 2016. The route is intended to serve as the outermost beltway of Istanbul as well as being the third road crossing of the Bosphorus. The route stretches 431 km (268 mi) from Silivri, on the European side, to Akyazı on the Asian side. Connections to the O-4 as well as both the Bosphorus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridges will be built as the Northern Marmara Motorway and will bypass Istanbul to the north. Up to 2016, the only section under construction was the 90 km (56 mi) section from Odayeri to Paşaköy. In this section, 14 tunnels, 61 viaducts, 45 underpasses, and 63 overpasses will be constructed. The western (Silivri-Odayeri) and eastern (Kurtköy-Akyazı) sections were tendered in early May 2016. Construction was then estimated to take three years and to start in 2016. The section of motorway south of O-3 was constructed in 1987 and was listed as a connector of the O-3 until 2016. The T1 and T2 tunnels on this highway were the location for the world's longest flight through a tunnel. (en)
