- Die Katholische Gemeinschaft Shalom (en.: Shalom Catholic Community, pt.: Comunidade Católica Shalom) ist eine Vereinigung von Gläubigen in der römisch-katholischen Kirche. - La Comunidad Católica Shalom es reconocida por la Iglesia Católica como Asociación Internacional Privada de Fieles tratándose de lo que hoy la Iglesia llama "Comunidades Nuevas". Siendo de la Iglesia, la Comunidad Shalom sirve en sus trabajos por medio de una consagración de vida de sus miembros. Tiene como fin último la evangelización, dar testimonio de Jesucristo, lo cual exige una profunda vida de oración, la comunión de bienes y una vocación misionera. Los miembros consagrados son llamados a ser, en el interior de la Iglesia, discípulos y ministros de la paz; a acoger, vivir y anunciar al mundo la paz que identifican con el propio Jesús (cf. - Shalom Catholic Community (Portuguese: Comunidade Católica Shalom) is recognized by the Catholic Church as the International Private Association of the Faithful for what the Church today calls "New Communities." Being a community of the Catholic Church, the Shalom Community serves in its work through a consecrated life of its members. Shalom Catholic Community was founded in 1982 by Moyses Louro Azevedo Filho. At this time, the Church, especially after the Second Vatican Council, called young people to participate in the world, to be seeds of change, builders of peace, following the example set by Jesus Christ. Thus, united by the same ideal, young people came together and formed this Movement, which later expanded to Brazil. Shalom was the word with which they identified themselves, which means harmony, unity, blessing, joy and peace. His charism is the evangelization of the young by the young, with the goal of being the face of Christ in the Church and in society. The Catholic Charismatic Renewal made a cafeteria a means of attracting young people to God. Today it is a large community in the country with over 10,000 members. This community has hundreds of prayer groups scattered in its more than sixty missions distributed throughout the regions of Brazil and in various countries abroad (France, Canada, Italy, Israel, Hungary, Algeria, Madagascar, Switzerland, Uruguay, Chile, Guyana France, England, the United States, Paraguay, Bolivia, Ecuador, Tunisia, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Panama, Argentina, the Philippines, Poland and Germany), promoting large and small evangelizing events to these groups and to catechetical and Christian formation courses and retreats, always at the request of local bishops. - A Comunidade Católica Shalom é reconhecida pela Igreja Católica como Associação Internacional Privada de Fiéis, enquadrando-se naquilo que hoje a Igreja Católica denomina de "Novas Comunidades". É reconhecida pela Santa Sé com o decreto do dia 22 de fevereiro de 2007, junto ao então Pontifício Conselho para os Leigos (cujas competências e funções são atualmente assumidas pelo Dicastério para os Leigos, a Família e a Vida). Na mesma data, em 2012, seus estatutos tiveram sua aprovação definitiva. Está presente em dezenas de países do mundo e é formada por homens e mulheres que, na diversidade das formas de vida presentes na Igreja, engajam-se em uma vida comunitária e missionária com a finalidade de levar o Evangelho de Jesus Cristo a todos os homens e mulheres, especialmente aqueles distantes de Cristo e da Igreja.
