- Der Wasgau (französisch Vasgovie) ist eine deutsch-französische Mittelgebirgslandschaft im Bundesland Rheinland-Pfalz und in den Départements Bas-Rhin und Moselle. Er wird vom Südteil des Pfälzerwalds und dem Ostteil der Nordvogesen (französisch Vosges du Nord) gebildet und erstreckt sich grenzüberschreitend von der Queich im Norden bis zur Zaberner Steige (französisch Col de Saverne) im Süden. Der höchste Berg des gesamten Wasgaus ist mit 581 m ü. NHN der Grand Wintersberg bei Niederbronn-les-Bains im nördlichen Elsass (französisch Alsace). Dahinter folgt der mit 576,8 m ü. NHN nur geringfügig niedrigere Rehberg bei Annweiler in der Südpfalz, der damit die höchste Erhebung im deutschen Teil des Gebirgsraums ist. Der Wasgau bildet den südlichen Teil des Biosphärenreservats Pfälzerwald-Vosges du Nord. (de)

It is formed from the southern part of the Palatine Forest and the northern part of the Vosges mountains, and extends from the River Queich in the north over the French border to the Col de Saverne in the south. The highest hill in the entire Wasgau is the Grand Wintersberg (581 m above NHN) near Niederbronn-les-Bains in northern Alsace. Next, at 577 m is the only slightly lower Rehberg near Annweiler in the South Palatinate, which is the highest summit on German soil in the Wasgau.
