La pièce est aujourd'hui utilisée pour de petites réceptions et l'accueil de chefs d'État juste avant un dîner d'État. On accède à la pièce à partir du corridor du deuxième étage (Center Hall) par le côté nord de la pièce. - La Yellow Oval Room (traducibile in italiano come Stanza ovale gialla) è una delle sale situate al secondo piano dell'Executive Residence, l'edificio centrale della Casa Bianca, la residenza ufficiale del Presidente degli Stati Uniti. La sala viene utilizzata come ufficio, biblioteca e come luogo di ritrovo della famiglia presidenziale. È tradizionalmente decorata nei toni del giallo ed insieme con la Diplomatic Reception Room (nel seminterrato), lo Studio Ovale (nel pianoterra) e la Blue Room è una delle quattro stanze ovali della Casa Bianca. La sala, dalle dimensioni di 9,1 metri per 12, è accessibile dalla sala centrale sul lato nord della stanza. Le tre grandi finestre situate sul lato sud, caratteristica di tutte le sale ovali della Casa Bianca ad eccezione della Diplomatic Reception Room, conducono a un grande balcone edificato nel 1948 su volontà del Presidente Harry S. Truman. - The Yellow Oval Room is an oval room located on the south side of the second floor in the White House, the official residence of the president of the United States. First used as a drawing room in the John Adams administration, it has been used as a library, office, and family parlor. Today the Yellow Oval Room is used for small receptions and for greeting heads of state immediately before a State Dinner. The room is entered from the Center Hall on the north side of the room. Three large windows on the south side of the room face the South Lawn and The Ellipse. The southwest window has a swing-sash door leading to the Truman Balcony. Double doors on the west side of the room, with flags of the United States and of the presidency on either side, lead to the president and first lady's bedrooms, private sitting room and dressing room.
