When the Mosswalker Victims die they leave a bag that you can loot. The bags sometimes contain a Lifeblood Shard.

If you want to loot them off the victims body, do so before turning in the companion quest. Otherwise all the bodies will say is "The mosswalker looks severyly injured." and you get no loot.

You have to go and pick up the Lifeblood Shards off the ground at this point. Some of which are SW of the camp.

Actually u can find blood crystals a lot easier just SW of the village.

It's all over the place near the small hill where lots lifeblood elemental are.

Go to the Lifeblood Pillar (68,61)ish to do this quest. They are all over the ground.

Do not try to loot these from the victim's bags. You'll be there all day and night and may never see a crystal. There are plenty around the pillar, and while they are hard to see you can *hear* them when you start getting close. They sort of hum.

it is an easy quest for someone with a pet or a sham with their tots (me). you just have your pet attack or make them attack your pet and loot then run (for shams like me use stoneclaw then wind shock, loot, run)

If you happen to turn in the companion quest, heading South of the camp near the cave, next to the Lifeblood Elementals, you can find crystal shards on the ground. Or on the rise, or cliff above the cave.

Moodle wants you to collect 10 Lifeblood Shards, but stay away from the cave inside of the pillar itself.

If you lose Moodle's Stress Ball, speak to High-Oracle Soo-say in Rainspeaker Canopy.

Description

I've always suspected that the pillars have been the main reason for our weather and seclusion from the undead... this confirms it a bit.

Not terribly long ago, there was a sound of a great explosion when the Lifeblood Pillar fell. The weather changed for the mosswalkers almost immediately... it began to snow, something we never see.

They were able to stop the snow by bringing more lifeblood crystals to the Great Moss Stone. Perhaps if we can do the same, it will help ward off the undead as well.
