As a tourism destination area in Central Java, public spaces in Tawangmangu are interesting to ex... more As a tourism destination area in Central Java, public spaces in Tawangmangu are interesting to examine from a linguistic landscape perspective. This study aims to reveal the culinary presence that is displayed in the outdoor media public space in the Tawangmangu tourism area, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. This study used a descriptive qualitative method and linguistic landscape theory from Landry and Bourhis (1997) which refers to the visibility and salience of languages on public and commercial signs in a given territory or region. This study also examined the dominant and subordinate groups. The findings reveal that most of the culinary delights shown in Tawangmangu's public spaces are local (traditional) culinary delights. This means that as a destination area, Tawangmangu is dominated by local (domestic) and foreign tourists who consume a lot of traditional food. In addition, traditional culinary delights are still well maintained in tourist destination areas where tourists are not only local but also from abroad.

Various kinds of cultural treasures in Indonesia have noble local wisdom values. Batimung is one ... more Various kinds of cultural treasures in Indonesia have noble local wisdom values. Batimung is one of such treasures of Indonesian culture. It is a self-care traditional steam bath or sauna owned by the Banjar people in Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. This research examines the values of local wisdom contained in this tradition. The research employs a qualitative approach. Data collection involves field studies using, observations, interviews, and note-taking techniques. It also employs a literature study to produce secondary data. The fndings show that there are two types of batimung: health batimung and therapeutic batimung. Health batimung which Banjar people call bridal (pangantin/pangenten) or fragrant batimung is a ritual preparations in weddings to prepare the bride and the groom. Meanwhile, therapeutic batimung is used to treat diseases that are generally caused by 'poisons' or wisa sangga. For people with very severe diseases, treatments can be done by using a corpse bath or a sun bath. The values of local wisdom found in the batimung tradition is the closer relationship between people and Nature. In fact, vernacular Banjar sauna has a high religiosity aspect.

border with Timor Lest... more This article is a linguistic landscape study carried out on the Indonesian border with Timor Leste. The aim is to reveal the language display, forms, and phenomena of changes in the linguistic landscape in the Indonesian border area. This is a descriptive-qualitative study that is intended to describe and analyze data in great detail and depth. The methods used in collecting data are observation and documentation. The results show that there are eight languages in public spaces namely Indonesian, English, Tetun, Dawan, Kupang Malay, Kemak, Arabic, and Portuguese. Language displayed in public spaces takes the form of monolingual, bilingual, and multilingual. The sociolinguistic change will depend greatly on the influence of social, political, and economic aspects but the chances are very small. Similar linguistic backgrounds, culture, and kinship relations with those in the border area of Timor Leste are the main reasons why the Indonesian language dominates compared to the official language of Timor Leste. Meanwhile, the existence of local languages needs serious attention. All of this requires government intervention in terms of language policy to maintain the existence of regional languages as the identity of local communities.

Data penelitian ini merupakan data primer yang diperoleh langsung dari lapangan di wilayah penutur bahasa Dawan. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah dialek Amanuban di kecamatan Kolbano, kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan. Data diperoleh melalui metode pengamatan partisipatif dengan teknik catat untuk mendaftar kata-kata metatesis. Selain itu metode wawancara terhadap penutur bahasa Dawan juga dipakai untuk menggali sekaligus menguji keberterimaan dari sebuah kata dan penggunaanya dalam kalimat. This article discusses metathesis and provides a clearer understanding of the nature of metathesi... more This article discusses metathesis and provides a clearer understanding of the nature of metathesis in Dawan. The research data is primary data obtained directly from the field in the area of Dawan language speakers. The data in this study are the Amanuban dialect in the Kolbano sub-district, South Central Timor district, which were obtained through participatory observation methods using note-taking techniques to list words that underwent a metathesis process. In addition, the interview method with Dawan language speakers was also used to explore and at the same time test the acceptability of a word and its use in sentences. The researcher's knowledge (intuitive data) was also used to support the observation and interview methods. The results of the data analysis show that the process of metathesis in Dawan language is not merely a phonological phenomenon but there is a relationship between phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and discourse. This article can have an impact, both theoretically and practically, especially as a source of literature in language documentation.
The earthquake and liquefaction in 2018 in Palu City, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, caused thousan... more The earthquake and liquefaction in 2018 in Palu City, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, caused thousands of casualties and property. This incident reminds us that we have forgotten the local wisdom of the Kaili Tribe, who have lived for hundreds of years in disaster-prone areas with Toponym and Kayori. We use qualitative methods with interviews and questionnaires, observation, and literature studies. One hundred Kaili people in Palu City are respondents in interviews and questionnaires, using purposive sampling taken at random. Apart from that, for supporting data, the team obtained from journals, books, and laws and regulations. The first sub-section of the book chapter discusses the existence of the Kaili Tribe in Palu City, and the second sub-chapter explores community wisdom in the form of Kayori, Toponym, and traditional houses. Discussion of the third sub-chapter is regarding recognizing the Kaili Tribe in disaster management legislation and policies. This study concludes that the Kaili people have cultural values that are adaptive to natural disasters through Kayori (oral poetry), toponymy (regional naming based on historical records), and earthquake-resistant traditional houses on stilts. In formal recognition, cultural heritage has been regulated in regional regulations related to conventional institutions. Still, it has not been comprehensively adopted as a roadmap for policy or program-making in disaster mitigation.

The people of Lampung, who are predominantly moslem, have a form of implementing customary fines ... more The people of Lampung, who are predominantly moslem, have a form of implementing customary fines known as dau. There is the term cepala or cepalau, which means 'violation of customary law' in Lampung, which is generally based on Islamic law. The people of Lampung, especially the Pepadun custom in West Tulangbawang Regency, adhere to customary law, which is a reflection of self-esteem that is relevant to the culture of the archipelago. This article aims to find out the practice of "customary fines' among the people of Lampung Pepadun in West Tulangbawang and describe the Islamic perspective on the practice of these customary fines. The researcher used the elicitation method with observing, note-taking, and interviewing techniques within the framework of legal anthropological theory with a phenomenological approach. In general, the practice of dau is in line with Islamic law. There is a stipulation of dau on the types of violations of customary law at mild, moderate, and serious levels, which have consequences of dau and social sanctions. In addition, there are types of violations of customary law in general that only result in punishment without social sanctions. The determination of dau is intended as social control to maintain order among the Pepadun indigenous people.

Budaya Jawa merupakan salah satu budaya besar yang bertahan hingga kini. Tulisan ini mengetengahkan kritik dalam ungkapan Jawa melalui kajian semantik kognitif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ungkapan-ungkapan bahasa Jawa yang mengandung makna kritikan dan menguraikan makna filosofi dalam ungkapan-ungkapan tersebut. This descriptive qualitative research in the scope of ethnography of communication uses primary data in the form of communication patterns in the juluk adek ceremony conducted by bi kelamou 'wife of groom’s uncle', which seen by punyimbang ‘the leader of adat’, peghwatin 'adat’s actor', and the bride-groom's family. The author uses the distance elicitation method with virtual interview techniques, records, and notes. Mobilitas manusia sangat mempengaruhi adanya kontak bahasa. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya kontak bahasa adalah terjadinya kawin campur. Artikel ini membahas konsep pepung dalam lingkup keluarga dwibahasa yang menggunakan objek kajian perkawinan etnis Jawa dan Lampung. Tujuannya ialah mengetahui konsep pepung dalam persepsi anak-anak hasil kawin campur dan menggambarkan kebertahanan masing-masing budaya dalam penanaman konsep pepung tersebut. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik elisitasi, simak, libat, dan catat. Setelah dianalisis ditemukan hasil penelitian bahwa konsep pepung dipahami dengan baik oleh anak-anak hasil kawin campur Jawa-Lampung meski pada tataran umum. Selain itu, kebertahanan dua bahasa dalam keluarga dwibahasa tetap baik meski ada gejala bilingual dominan.

ABSTRACT As an archipelago country, Indonesia has a focus in agriculture and marine. Most of the people were planting and fishing. It makes it possible most of planting and other terms raise and exsist in the society orally. On it's progress, the planting terms used as a manner to deliver moral message in norms border undirectly. This study used an ethnolinguistics approach which make it possible the contact between the writer and respondent. The aims were to describe the planting of rice terms and it's cultural meaning in Boja, Kendal, Central Java. There were 64 planting of rice terms. The cultural meaning in planting of rice terms were the good manner and attitudes as a leader in the brotherhood and society. The good manner and life motivation shown from the signs of its terms.

The people of Lampung, who are predominantly moslem, have a form of implementing customary fines ... more The people of Lampung, who are predominantly moslem, have a form of implementing customary fines known as dau. There is the term cepala or cepalau, which means 'violation of customary law' in Lampung, which is generally based on Islamic law. The people of Lampung, especially the Pepadun custom in West Tulangbawang Regency, adhere to customary law, which is a reflection of self-esteem that is relevant to the culture of the archipelago. This article aims to find out the practice of "customary fines' among the people of Lampung Pepadun in West Tulangbawang and describe the Islamic perspective on the practice of these customary fines. The researcher used the elicitation method with observing, note-taking, and interviewing techniques within the framework of legal anthropological theory with a phenomenological approach. In general, the practice of dau is in line with Islamic law. There is a stipulation of dau on the types of violations of customary law at mild, moderate, and serious levels, which have consequences of dau and social sanctions. In addition, there are types of violations of customary law in general that only result in punishment without social sanctions. The determination of dau is intended as social control to maintain order among the Pepadun indigenous people.

Keanekaragaman tersebut terejawantah dalam ungkapan-ungkapan khas, seperti pantun atau peribahasa, yang mencerminkan kearifan lokal masyarakat penuturnya. Budaya Jawa merupakan salah satu budaya besar yang bertahan hingga kini. Tulisan ini mengetengahkan kritik dalam ungkapan Jawa melalui kajian semantik kognitif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ungkapan-ungkapan bahasa Jawa yang mengandung makna kritikan dan menguraikan makna filosofi dalam ungkapan-ungkapan tersebut. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan ancangan semantik kognitif. Metode yang digunakan adalah simak, agih, padan, dan wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview) dengan teknik sadap dan perluas. Sebagian besar masyarakatnya bercocok tanam dan melaut. Hal ini memungkinkan banyak istilah pertanian dan bidang-bidang lain yang berkembang di dalam masyarakat secara oral atau lisan, artinya berkembang dari mulut ke mulut secara arbriter atau manasuka. Pada perkembangannya, istilah-istilah bidang pertanian digunakan sebagai cara menyampaikan pesan moral dalam bingkai norma-norma secara tidak langsung. Tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan etnolinguistik yang memungkinkan kontak antara penulis dan responden. This descriptive qualitative research in the scope of ethnography of communication uses primary data in the form of communication patterns in the juluk adek ceremony conducted by bi kelamou 'wife of groom’s uncle', which seen by punyimbang ‘the leader of adat’, peghwatin 'adat’s actor', and the bride-groom's family. The author uses the distance elicitation method with virtual interview techniques, records, and notes. There were 13 lexicons in the form of verbal spoken by kelamou which have the meaning changing adjusted to the current social conditions of society. Kontak bahasa tidak akan terhindarkan dari sebuah peradaban yang terus berkembang. Mobilitas man... more Kontak bahasa tidak akan terhindarkan dari sebuah peradaban yang terus berkembang. Mobilitas manusia sangat mempengaruhi adanya kontak bahasa. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya kontak bahasa adalah terjadinya kawin campur. Artikel ini membahas konsep pepung dalam lingkup keluarga dwibahasa yang menggunakan objek kajian perkawinan etnis Jawa dan Lampung. Tujuannya ialah mengetahui konsep pepung dalam persepsi anak-anak hasil kawin campur dan menggambarkan kebertahanan masing-masing budaya dalam penanaman konsep pepung tersebut. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik elisitasi, simak, libat, dan catat. Setelah dianalisis ditemukan hasil penelitian bahwa konsep pepung dipahami dengan baik oleh anak-anak hasil kawin campur Jawa-Lampung meski pada tataran umum. Selain itu, kebertahanan dua bahasa dalam keluarga dwibahasa tetap baik meski ada gejala bilingual dominan.

Tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan etnolinguistik yang memungkinkan kontak antara penulis dan responden. ABSTRACT As an archipelago country, Indonesia has a focus in agriculture and marine. Most of the people were planting and fishing. It makes it possible most of planting and other terms raise and exsist in the society orally. On it's progress, the planting terms used as a manner to deliver moral message in norms border undirectly. This study used an ethnolinguistics approach which make it possible the contact between the writer and respondent. The aims were to describe the planting of rice terms and it's cultural meaning in Boja, Kendal, Central Java. There were 64 planting of rice terms. The cultural meaning in planting of rice terms were the good manner and attitudes as a leader in the brotherhood and society. The good manner and life motivation shown from the signs of its terms.

This article examines the conceptual meaning of Siger in Sunda and Lampung from an ethnosemantic ... more This article examines the conceptual meaning of Siger in Sunda and Lampung from an ethnosemantic perspective. This study focuses on comparative elements in the conceptual meaning contained by siger in two cultures, namely Sundanese and Lampung. Ethnosemantic studies are based on cultural and language relations which are developed separately without negating the ethnic characteristics of the research subjects. The aims of this study are, 1) describing the lexicon surrounding the Sunda and Lampung siger; 2) uncover the conceptual meaning of Sunda and Lampung siger; and 3) comparing the semantic elements of Sunda and Lampung siger. The main data source is all information related to Sunda and Lampung siger obtained from observations and interviews. Data collection was carried out using observation, elicitation and interviews as primary data, and literature study as a secondary element. The analysis was carried out using a categorical method and sorting certain elements. Based on the analysis, several things were found, namely 1) the conceptual meaning of the Sunda and Lampung siger is related to the philosophy of life of two cultures which still have elements of kinship, 2) there are similar meanings in the symbols contained in the Sunda and Lampung siger. These findings can enrich the treasures of linguistics, in this case the lexicon, and cultural sciences, namely the philosophy of the Sundanese and Lampung peoples within the framework of Indonesian culture.

verba-verba ter... more Tulisan ini membahas verba gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa dan peran semantis dari verba-verba tersebut. Gerakan kaki yang dianalisis merupakan gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa klasik, seperti Srimpi, Gambyong, Bondan, dan Merak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memaparkan kajian semantik verba gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa, mendeskripsikan klasifikasi gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa ditinjau dari peran semantisnya, serta menjelaskan makna leksikal dan kultural verba gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan metode simak, libat, cakap. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan sekunder. Data primer berupa hasil observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan responden. Data sekunder berupa daftar verba gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa sebagai hasil dari observasi awal. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan ada 40 verba gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa yang masing-masing memiliki peran semantis yang ditilik secara leksikal dan kultural. Verba-verba gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa tersebut dikelompokkan berdasarkan peran semantisnya menjadi (1) verba gerakan kaki posisi berdiri dan (2) verba gerakan kaki posisi duduk. Verba gerakan kaki posisi berdiri diklasifikasikan lagi menjadi verba gerakan kaki dengan tumpuan telapak kaki, tumpuan ujung kaki, serta tumpuan kombinasi telapak kaki, tumit, dan ujung kaki. Secara kultural gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa klasik menunjukkan aspek simbolis manusia Jawa. Kata kunci: verba gerakan kaki, peran semantis, makna leksikal, makna kultural, tarian Jawa klasik.

One of the efforts to make a language and cultural codification is the dictionary making. The mai... more One of the efforts to make a language and cultural codification is the dictionary making. The main reasons why people open the dictionaries is that they want to get many information about the meaning. Kamus Bahasa Jawa Banyumasan—Indonesia is the one of bilingual dictionary as a lexicographic evidence based on dialect in Central Java that show the local wisdom by its entries. The uniqueness of culture in Banyumas which has a local wisdom was a part of entries in it. There were several strategies of the lexicographer to arrange the entries of this dictionary i.e. (1) selective in a collecting the data, (2) put the proper definition, (3) knowledge about the local culture, (4) identifying the senses, and (5) put a proper microstructure of the dictionary. The lexicographer’s strategy of dictionary making decide the quality of dictionary to show all the local wisdom in the particular community, especially in Banyumas dialect. Therefore, a complete explanation of the meanings of lexical items in this dictionary is the main thing to make in order to show a natural local wisdom. Proverbs are one of evidence of human existence framed in culture. It contains many admonitions, ... more Proverbs are one of evidence of human existence framed in culture. It contains many admonitions, exhortations, criticisms, and even implicit prohibitions. This requires cognitive ability to understand and receive messages well. This qualitative descriptive article aims to investigate the meanings of proverbs in Lampung, Indonesia, for learning local wisdom. Using an observation method, this study employed 36 proverbs that can be used as a medium for children to learn language and cultural values. The analysis was carried out by classifying the source domain and target domain with cognitive semantic designs. The findings show that the proverbs contain advice and noble values of the Indonesian culture. The values refer to Piil Pesengiri as a local philosophy of Lampung.

Lampung memiliki semboyan Sang Bumi Ruwa Jurai, yang dapat dimaknai ‘satu wilayah dua adat’. Pada konteks budaya, dua jurai yang dimaksud adalah adat Saibatin dan adat Pepadun. Artikel ini membahas prosesi seni dalam perilaku budaya masyarakat Lampung beradat Pepadun, khususnya masyarakat marga empat (megou pak) yang ada di Kabupaten Tulangbawang Barat, Lampung. Penelitian berjenis deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan metode observasi, simak, dan studi pustaka dalam pemerolehan datanya. Guna menambah penjelasan, penulis juga menggunakan metode wawancara yang melibatkan beberapa responden dengan kriteria tertentu. Setelah data terkumpul, penulis menggunakan metode pilah unsur tertentu dengan pendekatan etnografi komunikasi. Penulis mengemukakan apa saja seni yang ada dalam adat Pepadun, khususnya Megou Pak Tulangbawang dan bagaimana aplikasinya dalam masyarakat. Berdasarkan telaah etnografi komunikasi pada prosesi-prosesi seni tersebut tergambar bahwa masyrakat Pepadun Megou Pak menggunakan simbol-simbol berupa benda dan warna yang mengandung nilai-nilai sesuai falsafah piil pesengiri. Setiap prosesi seni selalu melibatkan pelaku berjumlah banyak yang berdampak pada biaya yang besar. Selain itu, masyarakat Pepadun Megou Pak Tulangbawang sangat selektif pada penggunaan kata dan sikap agar tidak terkena sanksi atau denda adat

Indonesia, caused thousa... more The earthquake and liquefaction in 2018 in Palu City, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, caused thousands of casualties and property. This incident reminds us that we have forgotten the local wisdom of the Kaili Tribe, who have lived for hundreds of years in disaster-prone areas with Toponym and Kayori. We use qualitative methods with interviews and questionnaires, observation, and literature studies. One hundred Kaili people in Palu City are respondents in interviews and questionnaires, using purposive sampling taken at random. Apart from that, for supporting data, the team obtained from journals, books, and laws and regulations. The first sub-section of the book chapter discusses the existence of the Kaili Tribe in Palu City, and the second sub-chapter explores community wisdom in the form of Kayori, Toponym, and traditional houses. Discussion of the third sub-chapter is regarding recognizing the Kaili Tribe in disaster management legislation and policies. This study concludes that the Kaili people have cultural values that are adaptive to natural disasters through Kayori (oral poetry), toponymy (regional naming based on historical records), and earthquake-resistant traditional houses on stilts. In formal recognition, cultural heritage has been regulated in regional regulations related to conventional institutions. border with Timor Leste. The aim is to reveal the language display, forms, and
phenomena of changes in the linguistic landscape in the Indonesian border area.
This is a descriptive-qualitative study that is intended to describe and analyze data
in great detail and depth. The methods used in collecting data are observation and
documentation. The results show that there are eight languages in public spaces
namely Indonesian, English, Tetun, Dawan, Kupang Malay, Kemak, Arabic, and
Portuguese. Language displayed in public spaces takes the form of monolingual,
bilingual, and multilingual. The sociolinguistic change will depend greatly on the
influence of social, political, and economic aspects but the chances are very small.
Similar linguistic backgrounds, culture, and kinship relations with those in the border
area of Timor Leste are the main reasons why the Indonesian language dominates
compared to the official language of Timor Leste. Meanwhile, the existence of local
languages needs serious attention. All of this requires government intervention in
terms of language policy to maintain the existence of regional languages as the
identity of local communities.

ABSTRACT
As an archipelago country, Indonesia has a focus in agriculture and marine. Most of the people were planting and fishing. It makes it possible most of planting and other terms raise and exsist in the society orally. On it's progress, the planting terms used as a manner to deliver moral message in norms border undirectly. This study used an ethnolinguistics approach which make it possible the contact between the writer and respondent. The aims were to describe the planting of rice terms and it's cultural meaning in Boja, Kendal, Central Java. There were 64 planting of rice terms. The cultural meaning in planting of rice terms were the good manner and attitudes as a leader in the brotherhood and society. The good manner and life motivation shown from the signs of its terms.

phenomena of changes in the linguistic landscape in the Indonesian border area.
This is a descriptive-qualitative study that is intended to describe and analyze data
in great detail and depth. The methods used in collecting data are observation and
documentation. The results show that there are eight languages in public spaces
namely Indonesian, English, Tetun, Dawan, Kupang Malay, Kemak, Arabic, and
Portuguese. Language displayed in public spaces takes the form of monolingual,
bilingual, and multilingual. The sociolinguistic change will depend greatly on the
influence of social, political, and economic aspects but the chances are very small.
Similar linguistic backgrounds, culture, and kinship relations with those in the border
area of Timor Leste are the main reasons why the Indonesian language dominates
compared to the official language of Timor Leste. Meanwhile, the existence of local
languages needs serious attention. All of this requires government intervention in
terms of language policy to maintain the existence of regional languages as the
identity of local communities.

Seperti diketahui bahwa Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan yang memiliki kecenderungan corak agraris dan maritim. Sebagian besar masyarakatnya bercocok tanam dan melaut. Hal ini memungkinkan banyak istilah pertanian dan bidang-bidang lain yang berkembang di dalam masyarakat secara oral atau lisan, artinya berkembang dari mulut ke mulut secara arbriter atau manasuka. Pada perkembangannya, istilah-istilah bidang pertanian digunakan sebagai cara menyampaikan pesan moral dalam bingkai norma-norma secara tidak langsung. Tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan etnolinguistik yang memungkinkan kontak antara penulis dan responden. Tujuannya mendeskripsikan istilah-istilah bidang pertanian padi dan makna kultural di Desa Boja, Kabupaten Kendal, Jawa Tengah. Terdapat 64 istilah bidang pertanian tanaman padi. tarian Jawa klasik, seperti Srimpi, Gambyong, Bondan, dan Merak. Tujuan
penelitian ini adalah memaparkan kajian semantik verba gerakan kaki pada tarian
Jawa, mendeskripsikan klasifikasi gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa ditinjau dari peran
semantisnya, serta menjelaskan makna leksikal dan kultural verba gerakan kaki
pada tarian Jawa. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan metode simak,
libat, cakap. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan
sekunder. Data primer berupa hasil observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan
responden. Data sekunder berupa daftar verba gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa
sebagai hasil dari observasi awal. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan ada 40 verba
gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa yang masing-masing memiliki peran semantis yang
ditilik secara leksikal dan kultural. Verba-verba gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa
tersebut dikelompokkan berdasarkan peran semantisnya menjadi (1) verba gerakan
kaki posisi berdiri dan (2) verba gerakan kaki posisi duduk. Verba gerakan kaki
posisi berdiri diklasifikasikan lagi menjadi verba gerakan kaki dengan tumpuan
telapak kaki, tumpuan ujung kaki, serta tumpuan kombinasi telapak kaki, tumit, dan
ujung kaki. Secara kultural gerakan kaki pada tarian Jawa klasik menunjukkan
aspek simbolis manusia Jawa.

Kamus Bahasa Jawa Banyumasan—Indonesia is the one of bilingual dictionary as a lexicographic
evidence based on dialect in Central Java that show the local wisdom by its entries. The uniqueness of
culture in Banyumas which has a local wisdom was a part of entries in it. There were several strategies of
the lexicographer to arrange the entries of this dictionary i.e. (1) selective in a collecting the data, (2) put
the proper definition, (3) knowledge about the local culture, (4) identifying the senses, and (5) put a proper
microstructure of the dictionary. The lexicographer’s strategy of dictionary making decide the quality
of dictionary to show all the local wisdom in the particular community, especially in Banyumas dialect.
Therefore, a complete explanation of the meanings of lexical items in this dictionary is the main thing to
make in order to show a natural local wisdom.

Lampung memiliki semboyan Sang Bumi Ruwa Jurai, yang dapat dimaknai ‘satu wilayah dua adat’. Pada konteks budaya, dua jurai yang dimaksud adalah adat Saibatin dan adat Pepadun. Artikel ini membahas prosesi seni dalam perilaku budaya masyarakat Lampung beradat Pepadun, khususnya masyarakat marga empat (megou pak) yang ada di Kabupaten Tulangbawang Barat, Lampung. Penelitian berjenis deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan metode observasi, simak, dan studi pustaka dalam pemerolehan datanya. Guna menambah penjelasan, penulis juga menggunakan metode wawancara yang melibatkan beberapa responden dengan kriteria tertentu. Setelah data terkumpul, penulis menggunakan metode pilah unsur tertentu dengan pendekatan etnografi komunikasi. Penulis mengemukakan apa saja seni yang ada dalam adat Pepadun, khususnya Megou Pak Tulangbawang dan bagaimana aplikasinya dalam masyarakat. Berdasarkan telaah etnografi komunikasi pada prosesi-prosesi seni tersebut tergambar bahwa masyrakat Pepadun Megou Pak menggunakan simbol-simbol berupa benda dan warna yang mengandung nilai-nilai sesuai falsafah piil pesengiri. Setiap prosesi seni selalu melibatkan pelaku berjumlah banyak yang berdampak pada biaya yang besar. Selain itu, masyarakat Pepadun Megou Pak Tulangbawang sangat selektif pada penggunaan kata dan sikap agar tidak terkena sanksi atau denda adat

Indonesia, caused thousands of casualties and property. This incident reminds us
that we have forgotten the local wisdom of the Kaili Tribe, who have lived for
hundreds of years in disaster-prone areas with Toponym and Kayori. We use qualitative methods with interviews and questionnaires, observation, and literature studies.
One hundred Kaili people in Palu City are respondents in interviews and questionnaires, using purposive sampling taken at random. Apart from that, for supporting
data, the team obtained from journals, books, and laws and regulations. The first
sub-section of the book chapter discusses the existence of the Kaili Tribe in Palu
City, and the second sub-chapter explores community wisdom in the form of Kayori,
Toponym, and traditional houses. Discussion of the third sub-chapter is regarding
recognizing the Kaili Tribe in disaster management legislation and policies. This
study concludes that the Kaili people have cultural values that are adaptive to natural
disasters through Kayori (oral poetry), toponymy (regional naming based on historical records), and earthquake-resistant traditional houses on stilts. In formal recognition, cultural heritage has been regulated in regional regulations related to conventional institutions. Still, it has not been comprehensively adopted as a roadmap for
policy or program-making in disaster mitigation.
