The cyclic fatigue, torsional resistance, and angular deflection of a new Fire-Wire rotary file (CricENDO) were compared. A total of 20 files of each type were tested. Cyclic fatigue testing was performed for each group (n = 10) by measuring the number of cycles to fracture (NCF) in an artificial stainless-steel canal (60° angle of curvature, with a 6-mm radius) for each group. The torque and angle of rotation at the failure of each group (n = 10) were measured according to ISO 3630-1. The fractured surfaces were examined using scanning electron microscopy. Statistical analysis was carried out utilizing Student’s t-test at a significance level set at 5%. The Fire-Wire CricENDO rotary files were associated with a significantly higher number of cycles to fracture and time to failure (in seconds) compared to the M-Wire Protaper Next (p < 0.05). In this research, we characterized the histopathological impact of dengue virus (serotype DENV-2) infection in livers of BALB/c mice. The mice were infected with different doses of DENV-2 via intraperitoneal injection and liver tissues were processed for histological analyses and variation was documented. In the BALB/c mouse model, typical liver tissues showed regular hepatocyte architecture, with normal endothelial cells surrounding sinusoid capillary. Based on histopathological observations, the liver sections of BALB/c mice infected by DENV-2 exhibited a loss of cell integrity, with a widening of the sinusoidal spaces. There were marked increases in the infiltration of mononuclear cells. The areas of hemorrhage and micro- and macrovesicular steatosis were noted. Necrosis and apoptosis were abundantly present. Objectives: The aim of this research project was to determine the prevalence of aggressive periodontitis cases in patients visiting Ajman University dental clinics and to determine the prevalence of Aggressive periodontitis in patients across different ethnic groups. Methods: A total of 200 OPG radiographs of patients were assessed for signs of Aggressive Periodontitis. The selected cases were then confirmed by correlating the findings from the patient's file. The data was then recorded for analysis. Results: A total of 14 (7%) radiographs showed features of aggressive periodontitis, out of which 6 (42.8%) were males and 8 (57.1%) were females. Out of them 8 were Pakistanis, 5 Indians and 1 Chinese. Conclusion: Within the limitations of this retrospective study, the prevalence of aggressive periodontitis was found to be more in the female population than in the male population. However, a larger sample size is necessary to determine the prevalence.

However, the post-surgical fate of these miniplates remains a subject of contention among surgeons. Some advocate for their removal, while others suggest leaving them in place. This study aims to perform an extensive meta-analysis of pertinent studies to ascertain the destiny of miniplates employed in maxillofacial surgery and discuss the consequences of either their extraction or retention.
