Management has been traditionally defined as " the art of getting things done ". The practice of management is art because it needs practitioner to be creative, flexible, self-aware, disciplined, punctual, confident, and focused to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively. The art of management helps people in communicating more eloquently, managing talent, and bringing more innovations in businesses. Tough competition in the market calls for organizations to be innovative and create solutions that add value to customers. Innovation and creativity calls for initiative, enterprise, and lateral thinking. Management institutes need to focus on new pedagogical tools to foster lateral thinking and innovation in students. Sports and games play an important role in the development of human personality. Adventure sports help in tackling real life situations as there are no simulations and the challenges are real/natural. One of the author, Mr. Philips Stanley in his capacity as coordinator, Alliance Adventure Club has been organizing adventure sports like rock climbing, rappelling, chimney climbing, trekking, scuba diving, kayaking, and bamboo rafting for the students over the last 18 months and the response has been overwhelming. The authors conducted an exploratory study among the students who had participated in the adventure activities and came to the conclusion that such activities have fostered creativity, lateral thinking, self-awareness, discipline, punctuality, and confidence. Based on the study conducted, the authors would like to recommend the introduction of adventure sports as a single credit course for master's and executive courses in management.
