Differential cross sections for Λ(1520) using photoproduction at CLAS
Abstract: The reaction $γp \rightarrow K^{+} Λ(1520)$ using photoproduction data from the CLAS $g12$ experiment at Jefferson Lab is studied. The decay of $Λ(1520)$ into two exclusive channels, $Σ^{+}π^{-}$ and $Σ^{-}π^{+}$, is studied from the detected $K^{+}$, $π^{+}$, and $π^{-}$ particles. A good agreement is established for the $Λ(1520)$ differential cross sections with the previous CLAS measurements. T… ▽ More

Differential cross section and photon-beam asymmetry for the gamma p -> pi- Delta++(1232) reaction at forward pi- angles for Egamma=1.5-2.95 GeV
Abstract: Differential cross sections and photon-beam asymmetries for the gamma p -> pi- Delta++(1232) reaction have been measured for 0.7<cos(theta)<1 and Egamma=1.5-2.95 GeV at SPring-8/LEPS. The first-ever high statistics cross section data are obtained in this kinematical region, and the asymmetry data for 1.5<Egamma(GeV)<2.8 are obtained for the first time. This reaction has a unique feature for studyi… ▽ More

Interference effect between $φ$ and $Λ(1520)$ production channels in the $γp \rightarrow K^+K^-p$ reaction near threshold
Abstract: The $φ$-$Λ(1520)$ interference effect in the $γp\to K^+K^-p$ reaction has been measured for the first time in the energy range from 1.673 to 2.173 GeV. The relative phases between $φ$ and $Λ(1520)$ production amplitudes were obtained in the kinematic region where the two resonances overlap. The measurement results support strong constructive interference when $K^+K^-$ pairs are observed at forward… ▽ More

The quark-jet contribution to the fragmentation functions for the pion and kaon with the nonlocal interactions
Abstract: We investigate the unpolarized pion and kaon fragmentation functions using the nonlocal chiral-quark model. In this model the interactions between the quarks and pseudoscalar mesons is manifested nonlocally. In addition, the explicit flavor SU(3) symmetry breaking effect is taken into account in terms of the current quark masses. The results of our model are evaluated to higher $Q^2$ value… ▽ More

Near-threshold Lambda(1520) production by the gamma p -> K+Lambda(1520) reaction at forward K+ angles
Abstract: Differential cross sections and photon-beam asymmetries for the gamma p -> K+ Lambda(1520) reaction have been measured with linearly polarized photon beams at energies from the threshold to 2.4 GeV at 0.6<cos(theta)<1. A new bump structure was found at W=2.11 GeV in the cross sections. The bump is not well reproduced by theoretical calculations introducing a nucleon resonance with J<=3/2. This r… ▽ More

Production of the pentaquark $Θ^+$ in $np$ scattering
Abstract: We study $np\to ΛΘ^{+}$ and $np\to Σ^{0}Θ^{+}$ processes for both of the positive and negative parities of the $Θ^{+}$. Employing the effective chiral Lagrangians for the $KNY$ and $K^*NY$ interactions, we calculate differential cross sections as well as total cross sections for the $np\to Σ^0 Θ^+$ and $np\to ΛΘ^+$ reactions. The total cross sections for the positive-parity $Θ^+$ turn out to be… ▽ More

Threshold production of the $Θ^+$ in a polarized proton reaction
Abstract: We compute cross sections of $Θ^+$ production near threshold for a polarized proton reaction, $\vec p \vec p \to Σ^+ Θ^+$ which was recently proposed to determine unambiguously the parity of $Θ^+$. Within theoretical uncertainties cross sections for the allowed spin configuration are estimated; it is of order of one microbarn for the positive parity $Θ^+$ and about 1/10 microbarn for the negativ… ▽ More

Regulariztion dependence of S=0 and S=-1 meson-baryon system in the chiral unitary model
Abstract: We investigate the dependence of s-wave meson-baryon scattering amplitudes on different regularizations within the framework of the chiral unitary model. We employ two different regularization schemes, i.e. dimensional and form-factor regulariaztions to tame the divergences in the model. We also study the analytic structures of T-matrices, using those regularization schemes. We find that while t… ▽ More

Photoproduction of Theta baryon from the neutron
Abstract: We study photoproduction reactions for Theta^+, which was recently observed as a candidate of an exotic five quark state uudd(bar s). We employ effective lagrangian interactions in the linear and non-linear formalism of chiral symmetry and investigate two cases of spin and parity of Theta^+, J^P = 1/2^+ and 1/2^-. We calculate cross sections and discuss possibilities to discriminate one from the… ▽ More

Magnetic moments of the N(1535) resonance in the chiral unitary model
Abstract: We calculate the magnetic moments of the N(1535) resonance using the chiral unitary model, where the resonance is dynamically generated in the scatterings of the lowest-lying mesons and baryons. We obtain the magnetic moments of the resonance as +1.1 and -0.25 for p(1535) and n(1535), respectively, in units of the nuclear magneton. We discuss the origin of these numbers within the chiral unitary… ▽ More

Detailed Analysis of the Chiral Unitary Model for Meson-Baryon Scattering with Flavor SU(3) Breaking Effects
Abstract: We study s-wave meson-baryon scattering using the chiral unitary model. We consider $1/2^{-}$ baryon resonances as quasibound states of the low lying mesons ($π,K,η$) and baryons ($N,Λ,Σ,Ξ$). In previous works, the subtraction constants which appear in loop integrals were found to largely depend on the channels, and it was necessary to fit these constants to reproduce the data. In order to exten… ▽ More

Flavor SU(3) breaking effects in the chiral unitary model for meson-baryon scatterings
Abstract: We examine flavor SU(3) breaking effects on meson-baryon scattering amplitudes in the chiral unitary model. It turns out that the SU(3) breaking, which appears in the leading quark mass term in the chiral expansion, can not explain the channel dependence of the subtraction parameters of the model, which are crucial to reproduce the observed scattering amplitudes and resonance properties.
