Abstract:
We studied the band structure of NdFeAs$_{1-x}$P$_{x}$O$_{0.9}$F$_{0.1}$ ($x$ = 0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6) using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) measurements. Two of the hole bands, $α_1$ $(d_{xz})$ and $α_3$ $(d_{z^2})$, were observed at the Brillouin zone center in the $P$-polarized light configuration, while the other two hole bands, $α_2$ $(d_{yz})$ and $γ$ $(d_{xy})$, were observe…

We studied the band structure of NdFeAs$_{1-x}$P$_{x}$O$_{0.9}$F$_{0.1}$ ($x$ = 0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6) using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) measurements. Two of the hole bands, $α_1$ $(d_{xz})$ and $α_3$ $(d_{z^2})$, were observed at the Brillouin zone center in the $P$-polarized light configuration, while the other two hole bands, $α_2$ $(d_{yz})$ and $γ$ $(d_{xy})$, were observed in the $S$-polarized alternative. The observed $γ$ band shifts downwards as $x$ increases, which is consistent with the theoretical prediction for the change in bond angle of As/P-Fe-As/P. Furthermore, a small amount of the $d_{xy}$ orbital component was observed at the same binding energy as that of the top of the $α_1$ band, thus indicating the band reconstruction of the originally degenerate $α_1$ and $α_2$ $(d_{xz}/d_{yz})$ bands by the unoccupied $d_{xy}$ band. The change in the energy level of the $α_1$ band top with $d_{xy}$ orbital character is accompanied by a $T_{c}$ upturn at $0.2 < x < 0.4$. The $T_{c}$ continues to increase as the $α_1$ band shifts downward, crossing the Fermi level. The incipient band with the $d_{xy}$ orbital character on its top could be an important ingredient for high $T_{c}$ 1111-type iron-based superconductors.

Abstract:
The structural flexibility at three substitution sites in LaFeAsO enabled investigation of the relation between superconductivity and structural parameters over a wide range of crystal compositions. Substitutions of Nd for La, Sb or P for As, and F or H for O were performed. All these substitutions modify the local structural parameters, while the F/H-substitution also changes band filling. It was found that the superconducting transition temperature $T_{c}$ is strongly affected by the pnictogen height $h_{Pn}$ from the Fe-plane that controls the electron correlation strength and the size of the $d_{xy}$ hole Fermi surface (FS). With increasing $h_{Pn}$, weak coupling superconductivity switches to the strong coupling one where the $d_{xy}$ hole FS is crucially important.

Evolution of Fermi surface (FS) states of NdFeAs$_{1-x}$P$_x$O$_{0.9}$F$_{0.1}$ single crystals with As/P substitution has been investigated. Evolution of Fermi surface (FS) states of NdFeAs$_{1-x}$P$_x$O$_{0.9}$F$_{0.1}$ single crystals with As/P substitution has been investigated. The critical temperature $T_{\rm c}$ and the power law exponent ($n$) of temperature-dependent resistivity ($ρ(T) = ρ_0 + AT^n$) show a clear correlation above $x=$0.2, suggesting that $T_{\rm c}$ is enhanced with increasing bosonic fluctuation in the same type of FS state. Around $x=$0.2, all the transport properties show anomalies, indicating that $x$$\sim$0.2 is the critical composition of drastic FS change. The angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy has more directly revealed the distinct change of FS around $x=$0.2, that one hole FS disappears at Brillouin zone center and the other FS with propeller like shape appears at zone corner with decreasing $x$. These results are indicative of the existence of two types of FS state with different nesting conditions that are related with two $T_{\rm c}$-rising mechanisms in this system.

Abstract:
P/As-substitution effects on the transport properties of polycrystalline LaFeP$_{1-x}$As$_{x}$O$_{1-y}$F$_{y}$ with $x$ = 0 -- 1.0 and $y$ = 0 -- 0.1 have been studied. In the F-free samples ($y$ = 0), a new superconducting (SC) dome with a maximum $T_{c}$ of 12 K is observed around $x$ = 0 -- 0.3. This is separated from another SC dome with $T_{c}$ $\sim$10 K at $x$ = 0.6 -- 0.8 by an antiferroma…

In the F-free samples ($y$ = 0), a new superconducting (SC) dome with a maximum $T_{c}$ of 12 K is observed around $x$ = 0 -- 0.3. This is separated from another SC dome with $T_{c}$ $\sim$10 K at $x$ = 0.6 -- 0.8 by an antiferromagnetic region ($x$ = 0.3 -- 0.6), giving a two-dome feature in the $T_{c}-x$ phase diagram. As $y$ increases, the two SC domes merge together, changing to a double peak structure at $y$ = 0.05 and a single dome at $y$ = 0.1. This proves the presence of two different Fermi surface states in this system.

Abstract:
Systematic P-NMR studies on LaFe(As_{1-x}P_x)(O_{1-y}F_y) with y=0.05 and 0.1 have revealed that the antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations (AFMSFs) at low energies are markedly enhanced around x=0.6 and 0.4, respectively, and as a result, Tc exhibits respective peaks at 24 K and 27 K against the P-substitution for As. This result demonstrates that the AFMSFs are responsible for the increase in Tc fo…

This result demonstrates that the AFMSFs are responsible for the increase in Tc for LaFe(As_{1-x}P_x)(O_{1-y}F_y) as a primary mediator of the Cooper pairing. From a systematic comparison of AFMSFs with a series of (La_{1-z}Y_z)FeAsO_δ compounds in which Tc reaches 50 K for z=0.95, we remark that a moderate development of AFMSFs causes the Tc to increase up to 50 K under the condition that the local lattice parameters of FeAs tetrahedron approaches those of the regular tetrahedron. We propose that the T_c of Fe-pnictides exceeding 50 K is maximized under an intimate collaboration of the AFMSFs and other factors originating from the optimization of the local structure.

Transport properties show anomalies suggesting a change of Fermi surfaces around $x$=0.6$\sim$0.8. Above $x$=0.6$\sim$0.8, $T_{\rm c}$ and $n$ approach the second $T_{\rm c}$-$n$ line for the higher $T_{\rm c}$ systems. A further increase of $T_{\rm c}$ above $x$=0.6$\sim$0.8 indicates the presence of an additional $T_{\rm c}$-rising mechanism in this system.
