Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have become pivotal in domains spanning military, agriculture, surveillance, and logistics, revolutionizing data collection and environmental interaction. With the advancement in drone technology, there is a compelling need to develop a holistic methodology for designing UAVs. This research focuses on establishing a procedure encompassing conceptual design, use of composite materials, weight optimization, stability analysis, avionics integration, advanced manufacturing, and incorporation of autonomous payload delivery through object detection models tailored to satisfy specific applications while maintaining cost efficiency. The study conducts a comparative assessment of potential composite materials and various quadcopter frame configurations. The novel features include a payload-dropping mechanism, a unibody arm fixture, and the utilization of carbon-fibre-balsa composites. A quadcopter is designed and analyzed using the proposed methodology, followed by its fabrication using additive manufacturing and vacuum bagging techniques. A computer vision-based deep learning model enables precise delivery of payloads by autonomously detecting targets.

This paper contemplates a relay-assisted visible light communication (VLC) system, where the light source (Table lamp) acts as a relay node and cooperates with the main light source. Following the IEEE 802.15.7r1 VLC reference channel model, we assume that there are two different light sources present in an office room. The first one is the source terminal present on the ceiling and another one is the desk lamp that serves as the relay station which works in full-duplex method. Because of the loop interference channel, we model VLC relay terminal using ray tracing simulations. We have analyzed bit error rate (BER) performance of the relay-assisted VLC system using binary phase shift keying-subcarrier intensity modulation (BPSK-SIM) technique. The proposed method outperforms existing phase shift keying (PSK) and square M-quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) techniques. The proposed VLC system using BPSK-SIM technique achieves a BER performance of for an SNR of 20 dB. The results of proposed full duplex and half duplex relayed VLC system are evaluated using equal power allocation (EPA) and optimum power allocations (OPA) techniques over three different modulation schemes which are 2-PSK, square M-QAM, BPSK-SIM.

Human communication is inherently multimodal and asynchronous. Analyzing human emotions and sentiment is an emerging field of artificial intelligence. We are witnessing an increasing amount of multimodal content in local languages on social media about products and other topics. However, there are not many multimodal resources available for under-resourced Dravidian languages. Our study aims to create a multimodal sentiment analysis dataset for the under-resourced Tamil and Malayalam languages. First, we downloaded product or movies review videos from YouTube for Tamil and Malayalam. Next, we created captions for the videos with the help of annotators. Then we labelled the videos for sentiment, and verified the inter-annotator agreement using Fleiss's Kappa. This is the first multimodal sentiment analysis dataset for Tamil and Malayalam by volunteer annotators.

In cloud computing, software-defined network (SDN) gaining more attention due to its advantages in network configuration to improve network performance and network monitoring. SDN addresses an issue of static architecture in traditional networks by allowing centralised control of a network system. SDN contains centralised network intelligence module which separates a process of forwarding packets (data plane) from packet routing process (control plane). It is essential to ensure the correctness of SDN due to secure data transmitting in it. In this paper. Model-checking is chosen to verify an SDN network. The Computation Tree Logic (CTL) and Linear Temporal Logic (LTL) used as a specification to express properties of an SDN. Then complete SDN structure is defined formally along with its Kripke structure. Finally, temporal properties are analysed against the SDN Kripke model to assure the properties of SDN is correct.

In this paper, we present multimodal 2D +3D face recognition method using block based curvelet features. The statistical measures such as mean, standard deviation, variance and entropy are extracted from each block of curvelet subband for both depth and intensity images independently.In order to compute the decision score, the KNN classifier is employed independently for both intensity and depth map. Further, computed decision scoresof intensity and depth map are combined at decision level to improve the face recognition rate. The combination of intensity and depth map is verified experimentally using benchmark face database. The experimental results show that the proposed multimodal method is better than individual modality.

Data mining is the practice to search large amount of data to discover data patterns. Data mining uses mathematical algorithms to group the data and evaluate the future events. Association rule is a research area in the field of knowledge discovery. Many data mining researchers had improved upon the quality of association rule for business development by incorporating influential factors like utility, number of items sold and for the mining of association data patterns. In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm to find maximal frequent itemset first. Most of the association rule algorithms used to find minimal frequent item first, then with the help of minimal frequent itemsets derive the maximal frequent itemsets, these methods consume more time to find maximal frequent itemsets. To overcome this problem, we propose a new approach to find maximal frequent itemset directly using the concepts of subsets. The proposed method is found to be efficient in finding maximal frequent itemsets.

In this paper, we propose an efficient approach to find maximal frequent itemset first. Most of the algorithms in literature used to find minimal frequent item first, then with the help of minimal frequent itemsets derive the maximal frequent itemsets. Nowadays, the digital world is most focused on storage space and speed. With the growing demand for better bandwidth utilization, efficient image data compression techniques have emerged as an important factor for image data transmission and storage. To date, different approaches to image compression have been developed like the classical predictive coding, popular transform coding and vector quantization. Several second generation coding schemes or the segmentation based schemes are also gaining popularity. Practically efficient compression systems based on hybrid coding which combines the advantages of different traditional methods of image coding have also been developed over the years. In this paper, different hybrid approaches to image compression are discussed. Hybrid coding of images, in this context, deals with combining two or more traditional approaches to enhance the individual methods and achieve better-quality reconstructed images with higher compression ratio. Literature on hybrid techniques of image coding over the past years is also reviewed. An attempt is made to highlight the neuro-wavelet approach for enhancing coding efficiency.
