The non-observation of baryon number violation suggests that the scale of baryon-number violating interactions at zero temperature is comparable to the GUT scale. However, the pertinent measurements involve hadrons made of the first-generation quarks, such as protons and neutrons. One may therefore entertain the idea that new flavour physics breaks baryon number at a much lower scale, but only in the coupling to a third generation quark, leading to observable baryon-number violating $b$-hadron decay rates. In this paper we show that indirect constraints on the new physics scale $Λ_{\rm BNV}$ from the existing bounds on the proton lifetime do not allow for this possibility. For this purpose we consider the three dominant proton decay channels $p \to \ell^+ ν_\ell \barν$, $p \to π^+ \barν$ and $p \to π^0 \ell^+$ mediated by a virtual bottom quark.

We calculate directly in position space the one-loop renormalization kernels of the soft operators $O_γ$ and $O_g$ that appear in the soft-quark contributions to, respectively, the subleading-power $γγ\to h$ and $gg\to h$ form factors mediated by the $b$-quark. We present an IR/rapidity divergence-free definition for $O_g$ and demonstrate that with a correspondent definition of the collinear function, a consistent factorization theorem is recovered. Using conformal symmetry techniques, we establish a relation between the evolution kernels of the leading-twist heavy-light light-ray operator, whose matrix element defines the $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA), and $O_γ$ to all orders in perturbation theory. Application of this relation allows us to bootstrap the kernel of $O_γ$ to the two-loop level. We construct an ansatz for the kernel of $O_g$ at higher orders. We test this ansatz against the consistency requirement at two-loop and find they differ only by a particular constant.

We scrutinize the Sommerfeld enhancement in dark matter pair annihilation for $p$-wave and higher-$\ell$ partial waves. For the Yukawa potential these feature a super-resonant Breit-Wigner peak in their velocity-dependence close to Sommerfeld resonances as well as a universal scaling with velocity for all $\ell\geq 1$ that differs from the $s$-wave case. We provide a quantum mechanical explanation for these phenomena in terms of quasi-bound states sustained by the centrifugal barrier of the partial-wave potential, and give approximate WKB expressions capturing the main effects. The impact of quasi-bound states is exemplified for wino dark matter and models with light mediators, with a focus on indirect detection signals. We note that quasi-bound states can also explain similar peaks in the bound-state formation and self-scattering cross sections.

The calculation of loop corrections to the correlation functions of quantum fields during inflation or in the de~Sitter background presents greater challenges than in flat space due to the more complicated form of the mode functions. While in flat space highly sophisticated approaches to Feynman integrals exist, similar tools still remain to be developed for cosmological correlators. However, usually only their late-time limit is of interest. We introduce the method-of-region expansion for cosmological correlators as a tool to extract the late-time limit, and illustrate it with several examples for the interacting, massless, minimally coupled scalar field in de~Sitter space. In particular, we consider the in-in correlator $\langleφ^2(η,q)φ(η,k_1)φ(η,k_2)\rangle$, whose region structure is relevant to anomalous dimensions and matching coefficients in Soft de Sitter effective theory.

The inconsistency between the fixed-order (FO) and contour-improved (CI) representation of the QCD corrections to the inclusive hadronic tau decay width limits the precision to which the strong coupling can be determined from this process. It has recently been shown that subtracting the infrared renormalon divergence related to the gluon condensate resolves the discrepancy. Here we suggest to employ the gradient flow to define gauge-invariant regularized operators and to use the corresponding condensates in the operator product expansion. The associated rearrangement of the perturbative series results in automatic renormalon subtraction without the need to determine explicitly the Stokes constants that normalize the divergent asymptotic series. Applying this method to the gluon condensate, we find that the CI series is modified and now agrees with the (unmodified) FO series. This conclusively demonstrates the preference for the fixed-order approach, as has been advocated long ago.

The derivation of the effective potential of the system requires non-trivial matching conditions, which need to be determined order by order in the power-counting of the problem. Light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) frequently arise in factorization theorems involving light and heavy mesons. The QCD LCDA for heavy mesons includes short-distance physics at energy scales of the heavy-quark mass. In this paper we achieve the separation of this perturbative scale from the purely hadronic effects by matching the QCD LCDA to the convolution of a perturbative function with the universal, quark-mass independent LCDA defined in heavy-quark effective theory. This factorization allows to resum potentially large logarithms between $Λ_{\rm QCD}$ and $m_Q$ as well as between $m_Q$ and the scale $Q$ of the hard process in the production of boosted heavy mesons at colliders. As an application we derive new theoretical predictions for the branching ratio of the decay $W^\pm \to B^\pm γ$. Furthermore, we provide phenomenological models for the QCD LCDAs of both the $\bar{B}$ and $D$ mesons expressed as expansions in Gegenbauer polynomials.

We extend the effective field theory for soft and collinear gravitons to interactions with fermionic matter fields. The full theory features a local Lorentz symmetry in addition to the usual diffeomorphisms, which requires incorporating the former into the soft-collinear gravity framework. The local Lorentz symmetry gives rise to Wilson lines in the effective theory that strongly resemble those in SCET for non-abelian gauge interactions, whereas the diffeomorphisms can be treated in the same fashion as in the case of scalar matter. The basic structure of soft-collinear gravity, which features a homogeneous soft background field, giving rise to a covariant derivative and multipole-expanded covariant Riemann-tensor interactions, remains unaltered and generalises in a natural way to fermion fields.

This chapter reviews the construction of ``soft-collinear gravity'', the effective field theory which describes the interaction of collinear and soft gravitons with matter (and themselves), to all orders in the soft-collinear power expansion, focusing on the essential concepts. Among them are an emergent soft background gauge symmetry, which lives on the light-like trajectories of energetic particles and allows for a manifestly gauge-invariant representation of the interactions in terms of a soft covariant derivative and the soft Riemann tensor, and a systematic treatment of collinear interactions, which are absent at leading power in gravity. The gravitational soft theorems are derived from soft-collinear gravity at the Lagrangian level. The symmetries of the effective theory provide a transparent explanation of why soft graviton emission is universal to sub-sub-leading power, but gauge boson emission is not and suggest a physical interpretation of the form of the universal soft factors in terms of the charges corresponding to the soft symmetries. The power counting of soft-collinear gravity further provides an understanding of the structure of loop corrections to the soft theorems.

We study the power-suppressed configuration of the thrust distribution in the two-jet region, where a gluon-initiated jet recoils against a quark-antiquark pair. With the aid of operatorial endpoint factorization conditions, we derive a factorization formula where the individual terms are free from endpoint divergences and can be written in terms of renormalized hard, (anti) collinear, and soft functions in four dimensions. This framework enables us to perform the first resummation of the endpoint-divergent SCET$_{\rm I}$ observables at the leading logarithmic accuracy using exclusively renormalization-group methods.

The lack of convergence of the convolution integrals appearing in next-to-leading-power (NLP) factorization theorems prevents the applications of existing methods to resum power-suppressed large logarithmic corrections in collider physics. We consider thrust distribution in the two-jet region for the flavour-nonsinglet off-diagonal contribution, where a gluon-initiated jet recoils against a quark-antiquark pair, which is power-suppressed. With the help of operatorial endpoint factorization conditions, we obtain a factorization formula, where the individual terms are free from endpoint divergences in convolutions and can be expressed in terms of renormalized hard, soft and collinear functions in four dimensions. This allows us to perform the first resummation of the endpoint-divergent SCET$_{\rm I}$ observables at the leading logarithmic accuracy using exclusively renormalization-group methods. The presented approach relies on universal properties of the soft and collinear limits and may serve as a paradigm for the systematic NLP resummation for other $1\to 2$ and $2\to 1$ collider physics processes.

In addition, we provide numerical solutions for the soft functions and analytical solutions to all orders in the strong and to first order in the electromagnetic coupling. For the inverse (and inverse-logarithmic) moments, we obtain an all-order solution in both couplings. We further provide numerical estimates for QED corrections to the inverse moments.

It reveals an emergent soft background gauge symmetry, which allows for a manifestly gauge-invariant representation of the interactions in terms of a soft covariant derivative, the soft Riemann tensor, and a covariant generalisation of the collinear light-cone gauge metric field. The emergent soft gauge symmetries of the effective Lagrangian provide a transparent explanation of why soft graviton emission is universal to sub-subleading power, but gauge boson emission is not. They also suggest a physical interpretation of the form of the soft factors in terms of the charges related to the soft transformations and the kinematics of the multipole expansion. The derivation is done directly at Lagrangian level, resulting in an operatorial form of the soft theorems. In order to highlight the differences and similarities of the gauge-theory and gravitational soft theorems, we include an extensive discussion of soft gauge-boson emission from scalar, fermionic and vector matter at subleading power.

We discuss the generalization of the leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitude for light mesons including QED effects. This generalization was introduced to describe virtual collinear photon exchanges above the strong-interaction scale $Λ_{\rm QCD}$ in the factorization of QED effects in non-leptonic $B$-meson decays. In this paper we study the renormalization group evolution of this non-perturbative function. For charged mesons, in particular, this exhibits qualitative differences with respect to the well-known scale evolution in QCD only, especially regarding the endpoint-behaviour. We analytically solve the evolution equation to first order in the electromagnetic coupling $α_{\rm em}$, which resums large logarithms in QCD on top of a fixed-order expansion in $α_{\rm em}$. We further provide numerical estimates for QED corrections to Gegenbauer coefficients as well as inverse moments relevant to (QED-generalized) factorization theorems for hard exclusive processes.

The QCD$\times$QED factorization is studied for two-body non-leptonic and semi-leptonic $B$ decays with heavy-light final states. These non-leptonic decays, like $\bar{B}^0_{(s)}\to D^+_{(s)} π^-$ and $\bar{B}_d^0 \to D^+ K^-$, are among the theoretically cleanest non-leptonic decays as penguin loops do not contribute and colour-suppressed tree amplitudes are suppressed in the heavy-quark limit or even completely absent. Advancing the theoretical calculations of such decays requires therefore also a careful analysis of QED effects. Including QED effects does not alter the general structure of factorization which is analogous for both semi-leptonic and non-leptonic decays. For the latter, we express our result as a correction of the tree amplitude coefficient $a_1$. At the amplitude level, we find QED effects at the sub-percent level, which is of the same order as the QCD uncertainty. We discuss the phenomenological implications of adding QED effects in light of discrepancies observed between theory and experimental data, for ratios of non-leptonic over semi-leptonic decay rates. At the level of the rate, ultrasoft photon effects can produce a correction up to a few percent, requiring a careful treatment of such effects in the experimental analyses.

Motivated by the first search for the rare charged-current $B$ decay to four leptons, $\ell \barν_\ell \ell^{(\prime)} \bar{\ell}^{(\prime)}$, we calculate the decay amplitude with factorization methods. We obtain the $B\to γ^*$ form factors, which depend on the invariant masses of the two lepton pairs, at leading power in an expansion in $Λ_{\rm QCD}/m_b$ to next-to-leading order in $α_s$, and at $\mathcal{O}(α_s^0)$ at next-to-leading power. Our calculations predict branching fractions of a few times $10^{-8}$ in the $\ell^{(\prime)} \bar{\ell}^{(\prime)}$ mass-squared bin up to $q^2=1~\text{GeV}^2$ with $n_+q>3~$GeV. The branching fraction rapidly drops with increasing $q^2$. An important further motivation for this investigation has been to explore the sensitivity of the decay rate to the inverse moment $λ_B$ of the leading-twist $B$ meson light-cone distribution amplitude. We find that in the small-$q^2$ bin, the sensitivity to $λ_B$ is almost comparable to $B^- \rightarrow \ell^- \barν_\ellγ$ when $λ_B$ is small, but with an added uncertainty from the light-meson intermediate resonance contribution. The sensitivity degrades with larger $q^2$.

We calculate the differential branching fraction, lepton forward-backward asymmetry and direct CP asymmetry for $B_{d,s}\toγ\ell\bar{\ell}$ decays with an energetic photon. We employ factorization methods, which result in rigorous next-to-leading order predictions in the strong coupling at leading power in the large-energy/heavy-quark expansion, together with estimates of power corrections and a resonance parameterization of sub-leading power form factors in the region of small lepton invariant mass $q^2$. The $B_{d,s}\toγ\ell\bar{\ell}$ decay shares features of the charged-current decay $B_u \to γ\ell\barν_\ell$, and the FCNC decays $B\to K^{(*)}\ell\bar\ell$. As in the former, the leading-power decay rates can be expressed in terms of the $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitude and short-distance factors. However, similar to $B\to K^{(*)}\ell\bar\ell$, four-quark and dipole operators contribute to the $B_{d,s}\toγ\ell\bar{\ell}$ decay in an essential way, limiting the calculation to $q^2\lesssim 6\,$GeV$^2$ below the charmonium resonances in the lepton invariant mass spectrum. A detailed analysis of the main observables and theoretical uncertainties is presented.

We show that the QCD factorization approach for $B$-meson decays to charmless hadronic two-body final states can be extended to include electromagnetic corrections. The presence of electrically charged final-state particles complicates the framework. Nevertheless, the factorization formula takes the same form as in QCD alone, with appropriate generalizations of the definitions of light-cone distribution amplitudes and form factors to include QED effects. More precisely, we factorize QED effects above the strong interaction scale $Λ_{\rm QCD}$ for the non-radiative matrix elements $\langle M_1 M_2|Q_i|\bar{B}\rangle$ of the current-current operators from the effective weak interactions. The rates of the branching fractions for the infrared-finite observables $\bar B\to M_1 M_2(γ)$ with photons of maximal energy $ΔE\llΛ_{\rm QCD}$ is then obtained by multiplying with the soft-photon exponentiation factors. We provide first estimates for the various electromagnetic corrections, and in particular quantify their impact on the $πK$ ratios and sum rules that are often used as diagnostics of New Physics.

The off-diagonal parton-scattering channels $g+γ^*$ and $q+φ^*$ in deep-inelastic scattering are power-suppressed near threshold $x\to 1$. We address the next-to-leading power (NLP) resummation of large double logarithms of $1-x$ to all orders in the strong coupling, which are present even in the off-diagonal DGLAP splitting kernels. The appearance of divergent convolutions prevents the application of factorization methods known from leading power resummation. Employing $d$-dimensional consistency relations from requiring $1/ε$ pole cancellations in dimensional regularization between momentum regions, we show that the resummation of the off-diagonal parton-scattering channels at the leading logarithmic order can be bootstrapped from the recently conjectured exponentiation of NLP soft-quark Sudakov logarithms. In particular, we derive a result for the DGLAP kernel in terms of the series of Bernoulli numbers found previously by Vogt directly from algebraic all-order expressions. We identify the off-diagonal DGLAP splitting functions and soft-quark Sudakov logarithms as inherent two-scale quantities in the large-$x$ limit. We use a refactorization of these scales and renormalization group methods inspired by soft-collinear effective theory to derive the conjectured soft-quark Sudakov exponentiation formula.

This is the most accurate prediction to date for the yield of high-energy $γ$-rays from $χ_1^0 χ_1^0 \to γ+ X$ annihilation for the energy resolutions realized by current and next-generation telescopes. We present a factorization theorem valid near the kinematic threshold $z=Q^2/\hat{s}\to 1$ of the partonic Drell-Yan process $q\bar q\toγ^*+X$ for general subleading powers in the $(1-z)$ expansion. We then consider the specific case of next-to-leading power. We discuss the emergence of collinear functions, which are a key ingredient to factorization starting at next-to-leading power. We calculate the relevant collinear functions at $\mathcal{O}(α_s)$ by employing an operator matching equation and we compare our results to the expansion-by-regions computation up to the next-to-next-to-leading order, finding agreement. Factorization holds only before the dimensional regulator is removed, due to a divergent convolution when the collinear and soft functions are first expanded around $d=4$ before the convolution is performed. This demonstrates an issue for threshold resummation beyond the leading-logarithmic accuracy at next-to-leading power.

A classic result, originally due to Kluberg-Stern and Zuber, states that operators that vanish by the classical equation of motion (eom) do not mix into "physical" operators. Here we show that and explain why this result does not hold in soft-collinear effective theory (SCET) for the renormalization of power-suppressed operators. We calculate the non-vanishing mixing of eom operators for the simplest case of $N$-jet operators with a single collinear field in every direction. The result implies that---for the computation of the anomalous dimension but not for on-shell matrix elements---there exists a preferred set of fields that must be used to reproduce the infrared singularities of QCD scattering amplitudes. We identify these fields and explain their relation to the gauge-invariant SCET Lagrangian. Further checks reveal another generic property of SCET beyond leading power, which will be relevant to resummation at the next-to-leading logarithmic level, the divergence of convolution integrals with the hard matching coefficients. We propose an operator solution that allows to consistently renormalize such divergences.

Due to the high anticipated experimental precision at the Future Circular Collider FCC-ee (or other proposed $e^+e^-$ colliders, such as ILC, CLIC, or CEPC) for electroweak and Higgs-boson precision measurements, theoretical uncertainties may have, if unattended, an important impact on the interpretation of these measurements within the Standard Model (SM), and thus on constraints on new physics. Current theory uncertainties, which would dominate the total uncertainty, need to be strongly reduced through future advances in the calculation of multi-loop radiative corrections together with improved experimental and theoretical control of the precision of SM input parameters. This document aims to provide an estimate of the required improvement in calculational accuracy in view of the anticipated high precision at the FCC-ee. For the most relevant electroweak and Higgs-boson precision observables we evaluate the corresponding quantitative impact.

The Future Circular Collider (FCC) at CERN, a proposed 100-km circular facility with several colliders in succession, culminates with a 100 TeV proton-proton collider. It offers a vast new domain of exploration in particle physics, with orders of magnitude advances in terms of Precision, Sensitivity and Energy. The implementation plan foresees, as a first step, an Electroweak Factory electron-positron collider. This high luminosity facility, operating between 90 and 365 GeV centre-of-mass energy, will study the heavy particles of the Standard Model, Z, W, Higgs, and top with unprecedented accuracy. The Electroweak Factory $e^+e^-$ collider constitutes a real challenge to the theory and to precision calculations, triggering the need for the development of new mathematical methods and software tools. A first workshop in 2018 had focused on the first FCC-ee stage, the Tera-Z, and confronted the theoretical status of precision Standard Model calculations on the Z-boson resonance to the experimental demands. The second workshop in January 2019, which is reported here, extended the scope to the next stages, with the production of W-bosons (FCC-ee-W), the Higgs boson (FCC-ee-H) and top quarks (FCC-ee-tt). In particular, the theoretical precision in the determination of the crucial input parameters, alpha_QED, alpha_QCD, M_W, m_t at the level of FCC-ee requirements is thoroughly discussed. The requirements on Standard Model theory calculations were spelled out, so as to meet the demanding accuracy of the FCC-ee experimental potential. The discussion of innovative methods and tools for multi-loop calculations was deepened. Furthermore, phenomenological analyses beyond the Standard Model were discussed, in particular the effective theory approaches. The reports of 2018 and 2019 serve as white papers of the workshop results and subsequent developments.

We present the physics program of the Belle II experiment, located on the intensity frontier SuperKEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. Belle II collected its first collisions in 2018, and is expected to operate for the next decade. It is anticipated to collect 50/ab of collision data over its lifetime. This book is the outcome of a joint effort of Belle II collaborators and theorists through the Belle II theory interface platform (B2TiP), an effort that commenced in 2014. The aim of B2TiP was to elucidate the potential impacts of the Belle II program, which includes a wide scope of physics topics: B physics, charm, tau, quarkonium, electroweak precision measurements and dark sector searches. It is composed of nine working groups (WGs), which are coordinated by teams of theorist and experimentalists conveners: Semileptonic and leptonic B decays, Radiative and Electroweak penguins, phi_1 and phi_2 (time-dependent CP violation) measurements, phi_3 measurements, Charmless hadronic B decay, Charm, Quarkonium(like), tau and low-multiplicity processes, new physics and global fit analyses. This book highlights "golden- and silver-channels", i.e. those that would have the highest potential impact in the field. Theorists scrutinised the role of those measurements and estimated the respective theoretical uncertainties, achievable now as well as prospects for the future. Experimentalists investigated the expected improvements with the large dataset expected from Belle II, taking into account improved performance from the upgraded detector.

We reconsider the QCD predictions for the radiative decay $B\to γ\ell ν_\ell$ with an energetic photon in the final state by taking into account the $1/E_γ, 1/m_b$ power-suppressed hard-collinear and soft corrections from higher-twist $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs). The soft contribution is estimated through a dispersion relation and light-cone QCD sum rules. The analysis of theoretical uncertainties and the dependence of the decay form factors on the leading-twist LCDA $φ_+(ω)$ shows that the latter dominates. The radiative leptonic decay is therefore well suited to constrain the parameters of $φ_+(ω)$, including the first inverse moment, $1/λ_B$, from the expected high-statistics data of the BELLE II experiment.

We construct a complete and minimal basis of subleading-power N-jet operators in position-space soft-collinear effective theory (SCET) and discuss how the Low-Burnett-Kroll amplitude is recovered in this framework. We begin a systematic investigation of the anomalous dimension of next-to-leading power N-jet operators in view of resummation of logarithmically enhanced terms in partonic cross sections and discuss the explicit result at the one-loop order for fermion-number two N-jet operators at the second order in the power expansion parameter of SCET.

Abstract:
We determine the NNLO electroweak correction to the $e^+ e^-\to b\bar{b}W^+W^- X$ production cross section near the top-pair production threshold. We then study the impact of the new contributions on the top-pair threshold scan at a future lepton collider.

Abstract:
The top-quark mass can be determined with very high precision from a scan of the total $e^+e^-\to b\bar{b}W^+W^-X$ cross section near the top-pair production threshold. We present the full calculation of electroweak and non-resonant corrections to this process at NNLO. We discuss the size of the new contributions and estimate the theory uncertainty on the top-quark mass in the PS mass scheme.

We investigate electromagnetic corrections to the rare $B$-meson leptonic decay $B_{s,d} \to μ^+μ^-$ from scales below the bottom-quark mass $m_b$. We investigate electromagnetic corrections to the rare $B$-meson leptonic decay $B_{s,d} \to μ^+μ^-$ from scales below the bottom-quark mass $m_b$. Contrary to QCD effects, which are entirely contained in the $B$-meson decay constant, we find that virtual photon exchange can probe the $B$-meson structure, resulting in a "non-local annihilation" effect. We find that this effect gives rise to a dynamical enhancement by a power of $m_b/Λ_{\rm QCD}$ and by large logarithms. The impact of this novel effect on the branching ratio of $B_{s,d}\toμ^+μ^-$ is about $1\%$, of the order of the previously estimated non-parametric theoretical uncertainty, and four times the size of previous estimates of next-to-leading order QED effects due to residual scale dependence. We update the Standard Model prediction to $\overline{\cal B}(B_s \to μ^+μ^-)_{\rm SM}
= (3.57 \pm 0.17) \cdot 10^{-9}$.

Kinematic edges of cascade decays of new particles produced in high-energy collisions may provide important constraints on the involved particles' masses. For the exemplary case of gluino decay $\tilde{g}\to q\bar q \tildeχ$ into a pair of quarks and a neutralino through a squark resonance, we study the hadronic invariant mass distribution in the vicinity of the kinematic edge. We perform a next-to-leading order calculation in the strong coupling $α_s$ and the ratio of squark width and squark mass $Γ_\tilde{q}/m_\tilde{q}$, based on a systematic expansion in $Γ_\tilde{q}/m_\tilde{q}$. The separation into hard, collinear and soft contributions elucidates the process dependent and universal features of distributions in the edge region, represented by on-shell decay matrix elements, universal jet functions and a soft function that depends on the resonance propagator and soft Wilson lines.

We delineate the allowed parameter and mass range for a wino-like dark matter particle containing some Higgsino admixture in the MSSM by analysing the constraints from diffuse gamma-rays from the dwarf spheroidal galaxies, galactic cosmic rays, direct detection and cosmic microwave background anisotropies. A complete calculation of the Sommerfeld effect for the mixed-neutralino case is performed. We find that the combination of direct and indirect searches poses significant restrictions on the thermally produced wino-Higgsino dark matter with correct relic density. For $μ>0$ nearly the entire parameter space considered is excluded, while for $μ<0$ a substantial region is still allowed, provided conservative assumptions on astrophysical uncertainties are adopted.

We present predictions for the total cross sections for pair production of squarks and gluinos at the LHC including a combined NNLL resummation of soft and Coulomb gluon effects. We derive all terms in the NNLO cross section that are enhanced near the production threshold, which include contributions from spin-dependent potentials and so-called annihilation corrections. The NNLL corrections at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV range from up to $20\%$ for squark-squark production to $90\%$ for gluino pair production relative to the NLO results and reduce the theoretical uncertainties of the perturbative calculation to the $10\%$ level.
