As the largest gravitationally bound objects in the Universe, galaxy clusters have provided the first piece of evidence for the presence of dark matter and may be suitable targets for indirect dark matter searches. Among various signals, the GeV-TeV $γ$-ray line has been taken as the smoking-gun signal of the dark matter annihilation/decay since no known astrophysical/physical process(es) could generate such a peculiar spectrum. With 15.5 years of Fermi-LAT P8R3 publicly available data, we search for the $γ$-ray line emission in the directions of a group of 13 nearby massive galaxy clusters with an unbinned likelihood analysis. A $γ$-ray line signal at $\sim 43.2$ GeV has a net TS value of $\approx 30$ if we only take into account the data in the directions of Virgo, Fornax and Ophiuchus clusters, three massive clusters with the highest J-factors expected to generate the dark matter annihilation signal. The signal still presents when the data of other 10 nearby massive clusters have also been included, though the TS value decreases to $\approx 21$ likely because of their lower signal-to-noise ratios. The absence of this signal in the inner Galaxy disfavors both the instrumental effect and the canonical dark matter annihilation interpretation, and a more sophisticated dark matter model or very peculiar astrophysical scenario might be needed. This $γ$-ray line signal, if intrinsic, could be unambiguously verified by the Very Large Area $γ$-ray Space Telescope in its first two years of performance.

This study reanalyzes the detection prospects of dark matter (DM) annihilation signals in the Galactic Center, focusing on velocity-dependent dynamics within a spike density near the supermassive black hole (Sgr~A$^{\star}$). We investigate three annihilation processes -- $p$-wave, resonance, and forbidden annihilation -- under semi-relativistic velocities, leveraging gamma-ray data from Fermi and DAMPE telescopes. Our analysis integrates a fermionic DM model with an electroweak axion-like particle (ALP) portal, exploring annihilation into two or four photons. Employing a comprehensive six-dimensional integration, we precisely calculate DM-induced gamma-ray fluxes near Sgr~A$^{\star}$, incorporating velocity and positional dependencies in the annihilation cross-section and photon yield spectra. Our findings highlight scenarios of resonance and forbidden annihilation, where the larger ALP-DM-DM coupling constant $C_{aχχ}$ can affect spike density, potentially yielding detectable gamma-ray line spectra within Fermi and DAMPE energy resolution. We set upper limits for $C_{aχχ}$ across these scenarios, offering insights into the detectability and spectral characteristics of DM annihilation signals from the Galactic Center.

The effective potential of the $O(N)$ model at large $N$ limit is reinvestigated with varying pion mass and temperature. For large pion masses and high temperatures, we find the phenomenologically favored vacuum, located on the upper branch of the double-branched effective potential for physical $m_π$, moves to the lower branch and becomes no longer a local minimum but a saddle point. The existence and running of the tachyon pole are also discussed. These phenomena indicate that the applicable energy range of $O(N)$ model is more and more limited as $m_π$ becoming larger and temperature going higher. With the effective coupling constant defined from the effective potential, the possible correspondence between the two branches of the effective potential and the two phases of the theory (distinguished by positive or negative coupling) is verified even with nonzero explicit symmetry breaking and at finite temperature. Also, we generalize the $N/D$ modified $O(N)$ model to study the thermal trajectory of the $σ$ pole with the cross-channel contributions considered and find the thermal $σ$ pole trajectory resembles its counterpart with varying pion mass at zero temperature.

Axions and axion-like particles (ALPs) appear in many extensions of the Standard Model and are being investigated as promising dark matter (DM) candidates. One viable methodology for their detection involves the investigation of the line-like radio emissions from the dwarf spheroidal galaxy, potentially originating from the radiative decay of ALPs or the conversion of ALPs in the magnetic field. In this work, we constrain the properties of ALPs using the 2-hour radio observation of Coma Berenices through the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST). The $\rm 95\%$ upper limits of the ALP-photon coupling are calculated for the ALP decay and conversion scenarios, respectively. Note that the sensitive ALP masses for FAST range from $\sim μ\rm eV$ to tens of $μ\rm eV$, where ALP can explain the DM abundance naturally. However, our limits are weaker than those of the CAST helioscope, which can provide an independent and complementary check on the ALP non-detection for ground experiments. Furthermore, we evaluate the expected sensitivity on the ALP of FAST with its full designed bandwidth (70 $\rm MHz$ - 3 $\rm GHz$) for 100 hours of observation time. Our results indicate that, even with the exceptional sensitivity of the FAST, it is challenging to surpass the existing experimental constraints on ALP DM using radio observation of dSphs, unless the possible enhancements of ALP signals by compact stars in dSphs are considered.

We report a first study of the semileptonic decay $D^0\rightarrow K^-π^0μ^{+}ν_μ$ by analyzing an $e^+e^-$ annihilation data sample of $7.9~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector. The absolute branching fraction of $D^0\to K^-π^0μ^{+}ν_μ$ is measured for the first time to be $(0.729 \pm 0.014_{\rm stat} \pm 0.011_{\rm syst})\%$. Based on an amplitude analysis, the $S\text{-}{\rm wave}$ contribution is determined to be $(5.76 \pm 0.35_{\rm stat} \pm 0.29_{\rm syst})\%$ of the total decay rate in addition to the dominated $K^{*}(892)^-$ component. The branching fraction of $D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-μ^+ν_μ$ is given to be $(2.062 \pm 0.039_{\rm stat} \pm 0.032_{\rm syst})\%$, which improves the precision of the world average by a factor of 5. Combining with the world average of ${\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e)$, the ratio of the branching fractions obtained is $\frac{{\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-μ^+ν_μ)}{{\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e)} = 0.96\pm0.08$, in agreement with lepton flavor universality. Furthermore, assuming single-pole dominance parameterization, the most precise hadronic form factor ratios for $D^0\to K^{*}(892)^{-} μ^+ν_μ$ are extracted to be $r_{V}=V(0)/A_1(0)=1.37 \pm 0.09_{\rm stat} \pm 0.03_{\rm syst}$ and $r_{2}=A_2(0)/A_1(0)=0.76 \pm 0.06_{\rm stat} \pm 0.02_{\rm syst}$.

Roy-equation analyses on lattice data of $ππ$ scattering phase shifts at $m_π=391$MeV reveals that the lowest $f_0$ meson becomes a bound state under this condition. In addition, there is a pair of complex poles below threshold generated by crossing symmetry [X.-H. Cao et al., Phys. Rev. D 108, 034009 (2023)]. We use the $N/D$ method to partially recover crossing symmetry of the $O(N)$ $σ$ model amplitude at leading order of $1/N$ expansion, and qualitatively reproduce the pole structure and pole trajectories with varying pion masses as revealed by Roy-equation analyses. The $σ$ pole trajectory with varying temperature is also discussed and found to be similar to its properties when varying $m_π$. As the temperature increases, the complex $σ$ poles firstly move from the second Riemann sheet to the real axis becoming two virtual state poles, and then one virtual state pole moves to the first sheet turning into a bound state pole and finally tends to the pion pole position at high temperature which is as expected from the chiral symmetry restoration. Our results provide further evidences that the lowest $f_0$ state extracted from experiments and lattice data plays the role of $σ$ meson in the spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry. Finally, we also briefly discuss the problems of the effective potential in the situation when $m_π$ and temperature get large.

The Galactic Center Excess (GCE), one of the most remarkable discoveries by Fermi-LAT, has prompted extensive exploration over the past decade, often attributed to dark matter or millisecond pulsars. This work proposes a novel interpretation on the origin of the GCE, focusing on the observed spectral shape. Protons are accelerated at the Galactic center and collide with the neutron cluster on the surface of the non-rotating neutron stars. Due to the gluon condensation in nucleons, these collisions produce a large number of mesons, which have reached to the saturation state and subsequently generate the broken power law in the gamma ray spectra. We explained the spectral shape of GCE using the gluon condensation and an assumption of existing the non-rotating neutron stars at the Galactic center. This example of the gluon condensation mechanism not only expands the applications of the hadronic scenario in the cosmic gamma ray spectra but also provides a new evidence of the gluon condensation.

In this work, by including the important contributions from the vertex corrections, we study the decays $B^0 \to J/ψf_0$ within the improved perturbative QCD approach and analyze the possible scalar glueball hunting. Together with the two mixing models, namely, $f_0(1500) (f_0(1710))$ being the primary scalar glueball in model I (II), and two classification scenarios, namely, $f_0$ being the $q\bar q$ excited (ground) states in scenario 1 (2), the branching fractions associated with their ratios for $B^0 \to J/ψf_0$ are evaluated comprehensively. The predictions with still large uncertainties in the considered two mixing models are roughly consistent with currently limited data, which indicates that both more rich data and more precise predictions are urgently demanded to figure out the scalar glueball clearly in the future. Moreover, several interesting ratios between the branching fractions of $B^0 \to J/ψf_0(\to π^+ π^-/K^+ K^-)$ and $B^0 \to J/ψρ^0/φ(\to π^+ π^-/ K^+ K^-)$ that could help us to understand the nature of scalar $f_0$ are defined and predicted theoretically. These ratios should be examined in future experiments.

Our findings establish a solid theoretical basis for the exploration of resonance phenomena in scenarios involving the presence of multiple interfering states across various channels. The scattering amplitudes associated with the continuous states naturally adhere to coupled-channel unitarity, rendering this framework particularly valuable for investigating hadronic resonant states appearing in multiple coupled channels. Moreover, this generalized framework exhibits a wide-range applicability, enabling investigations into resonance phenomena across diverse physical domains, including hadron physics, nuclear physics, optics, and cold atom physics, among others.

To investigate this, different methods are taken, including two channel ($D^{*+}D^0$ and $D^{*0}D^+$) K-matrix unitarization and single channel Flatté-like parametrization method analysed by pole counting rule and spectral density function sum rule. It demonstrates that $T^+_{cc}$ is a molecular state, though the possibility that there may exist elementary ingredient can not be excluded, by rough analysis on its production rate.

A clear signal is observed with a statistical significance of $7.1σ$. The cross section of the reaction $Ξ^0+{^9\rm{Be}}\rightarrowΞ^-+p+{^8\rm{Be}}$ is determined to be $σ(Ξ^0+{^9\rm{Be}}\rightarrowΞ^-+p+{^8\rm{Be}})=(22.1\pm5.3_{\rm{stat}}\pm4.5_{\rm{sys}})$ mb at the $Ξ^0$ momentum of $0.818$ GeV/$c$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. No significant $H$-dibaryon signal is observed in the $Ξ^-p$ final state. This is the first study of hyperon-nucleon interactions in electron-positron collisions and opens up a new direction for such research.

Such a suggestion could provide more insight to our understanding the enigmatic decay properties of $ψ(4160)$ and $ψ(4230)$. Furthermore, this coupled-channel scheme could be applied to study other phenomena with several interfering resonances.

Ultralight dark matter (ULDM) is proposed as a theoretical candidate of dark matter particles with masses of approximately $10^{-22}$ eV. The interactions between ULDM particles and standard model particles would cause variations in pulse arrival times of millisecond pulsars, which means that the pulsar timing array (PTA) can be used to indirectly detect ULDM. In this letter, we use the gamma-ray PTA composed of 29 millisecond pulsars observed by the Fermi Large Area Telescope (Fermi-LAT) to test four ULDM effects, including gravitational effects for generalized ULDM with different Spin-0/1, the fifth-force coupling effect of dark photon, and the modified gravitational effect of the Spin-2 ULDM. The gamma-ray pulsar timing is not affected by the ionized interstellar medium and suffers relatively simple noises, unlike that of the radio band. Our work is the first time that the gamma-ray PTA has been used to search for the ULDM. No significant signals of ULDM are found based on the Fermi-LAT PTA for all four kinds of ULDM models. Constraints on ULDM parameters are set with the 95% confidence level, which provides a complementary check of the nondetection of ULDM for radio PTAs and direct detection experiments.

We accomplish the analytical expressions for the three-loop renormalization constants and the corresponding anomalous dimensions for all of the four NRQCD currents with two different heavy flavors. The three-loop QCD corrections to the matching coefficients turn out to be significantly larger than lower order corrections. By employing the scale relation, we obtain the N$^3$LO corrections to the wave functions at the origin for the vector $B_c^*$ meson and the pseudo-scalar $B_c$ meson from the known result for the equal-mass heavy quarkonium in potential NRQCD (pNRQCD). We find large cancellations at the third order between the matching coefficients and the wave functions at the origin, and obtain the convergent decay constants of $B^*_{c}$ and $B_{c}$ up to N$^3$LO. We present the complete perturbative QCD predictions for the decay constants, leptonic decay widths, and branching ratios of the beauty-charmed mesons.

By employing the scaling relation, we simultaneously obtain the decay constants for beauty-charm mesons up to the three-loop accuracy and the hyperfine mass splitting in agreement with the experimental data. New long-lived particles produced at the colliders may escape from conventional particle detectors. Using satellites or ground telescopes, we can detect the photons generated from the annihilation of the star-captured dark matter into a pair of long-lived particles. When the propagation length of these long-lived particles surpasses the interplanetary distance between the Sun and Jupiter, it becomes unfeasible to detect such dark matter signals originating from the Sun or Jupiter on Earth. Our analysis of the dark matter-induced photons produced by prompt radiation, inverse Compton scattering, and synchrotron radiation mechanisms reveals that a decay length of about $10^{-3}$ pc for long-lived particles is required for maximum detectability. We investigate the parameters that allow the long-lived particle's lifetime to be consistent with Big Bang nucleosynthesis while also allowing it to escape the confines of our solar system. The Sirius system is proposed as a promising target for the indirect detection of such long-lived particles. Utilizing the prompt, inverse Compton scattering, and synchrotron radiation, upper limits on the dark matter-proton spin-independent and spin-dependent cross section are estimated with the Fermi-LAT null-signal observation and the capabilities of the upcoming Square Kilometre Array radio telescope.

We compare our predicted branching ratios for the $B_{(s)}\rightarrow Kχ_{c0}\rightarrow Kπ^+π^-(K^+K^-)$ decay with available experiment data as well as predictions by other theoretical studies. The branching ratios of these decays are consistent with data and other theoretical predictions. In the Cabibbo-suppressed decays $B_{(s)}\rightarrow hχ_{c0}\rightarrow hπ^+π^-(K^+K^-)$ with $h=\bar{K}^0,π$, however, the values of the branching ratios are the order of $10^{-7}$ and $10^{-8}$. For the first time, we obtain the analytical expressions for the three-loop renormalization constant $\tilde{Z}_s(x,R_f)$ and the corresponding anomalous dimension $\tildeγ_s(x,R_f)$ for the NRQCD scalar current with the two heavy bottom and charm quark. We present the precise numerical results for those relevant coefficients $(C_{FF}(x_0), \cdots, C_{FBB}(x_0))$
with an accuracy of about thirty digits. The three-loop QCD correction turns out to be significantly large. The obtained matching coefficient $C_s(μ_f,μ,m_b,m_c)$ is helpful to analyze the threshold behaviours when two different heavy quarks are close to each other and form the double heavy $B_c$ mesons.

Combining this result with the world average of ${\mathcal B}(Σ^- \to Λe^- \barν_{e})$ and the lifetimes of $Σ^{\pm}$, the ratio, $\frac{Γ(Σ^- \to Λe^- \barν_{e})}{Γ(Σ^+ \to Λe^+ ν_{e})}$, is determined to be $1.06 \pm 0.28$, which is within 1.8 standard deviations of the value expected in the absence of second-class currents that are forbidden in the Standard Model.

We present the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD corrections to the decay constants for both the pseudoscalar and vector beauty-charmed mesons $B_{c}$ and $B^*_{c}$ in nonrelativistic QCD effective theory. Explicit NNLO calculation verified that the $B_c$ decay constant from pseudoscalar current is identical with the $B_c$ decay constant from axial-vector current. The NNLO result for the vector decay constant of $B^*_{c}$ meson is novel. Combined with the latest extraction of nonrelativistic QCD long-distance matrix elements of $B_c$ meson, we give the branching ratios of leptonic decays of $B_{c}$ and $B^*_{c}$ mesons. We report a measurement of cumulants and correlation functions of event-by-event proton multiplicity distributions from fixed-target Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 3 GeV measured by the STAR experiment. Protons are identified within the rapidity ($y$) and transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) region $-0.9 < y<0$ and $0.4 < p_{\rm T} <2.0 $ GeV/$c$ in the center-of-mass frame. A systematic analysis of the proton cumulants and correlation functions up to sixth-order as well as the corresponding ratios as a function of the collision centrality, $p_{\rm T}$, and $y$ are presented. The effect of pileup and initial volume fluctuations on these observables and the respective corrections are discussed in detail. The results are compared to calculations from the hadronic transport UrQMD model as well as a hydrodynamic model. In the most central 5\% collisions, the value of proton cumulant ratio $C_4/C_2$ is negative, drastically different from the values observed in Au+Au collisions at higher energies. Compared to model calculations including Lattice QCD, a hadronic transport model, and a hydrodynamic model, the strong suppression in the ratio of $C_4/C_2$ at 3 GeV Au+Au collisions indicates an energy regime dominated by hadronic interactions.

The nuclear compound yield ratio ($\mathrm{N}_t \times \mathrm{N}_p/\mathrm{N}_d^2$), which is predicted to be sensitive to the fluctuation of local neutron density, is observed to decrease monotonically with increasing charged-particle multiplicity ($dN_{ch}/dη$) and follows a scaling behavior. The $dN_{ch}/dη$ dependence of the yield ratio is compared to calculations from coalescence and thermal models. Enhancements in the yield ratios relative to the coalescence baseline are observed in the 0\%-10\% most central collisions at 19.6 and 27 GeV, with a significance of 2.3$σ$ and 3.4$σ$, respectively, giving a combined significance of 4.1$σ$. The enhancements are not observed in peripheral collisions or model calculations without critical fluctuation, and decreases with a smaller $p_{T}$ acceptance. The physics implications of these results on the QCD phase structure and the production mechanism of light nuclei in heavy-ion collisions are discussed.

More than a century after the performance of the oil drop experiment, the possible existence of fractionally charged particles FCP still remains unsettled. The search for FCPs is crucial for some extensions of the Standard Model in particle physics. Most of the previously conducted searches for FCPs in cosmic rays were based on experiments underground or at high altitudes. However, there have been few searches for FCPs in cosmic rays carried out in orbit other than AMS-01 flown by a space shuttle and BESS by a balloon at the top of the atmosphere. In this study, we conduct an FCP search in space based on on-orbit data obtained using the DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE) satellite over a period of five years. Unlike underground experiments, which require an FCP energy of the order of hundreds of GeV, our FCP search starts at only a few GeV. An upper limit of $6.2\times 10^{-10}~~\mathrm{cm^{-2}sr^{-1} s^{-1}}$ is obtained for the flux. Our results demonstrate that DAMPE exhibits higher sensitivity than experiments of similar types by three orders of magnitude that more stringently restricts the conditions for the existence of FCP in primary cosmic rays.

A decisive experimental test of the Chiral Magnetic Effect (CME) is considered one of the major scientific goals at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider (RHIC) towards understanding the nontrivial topological fluctuations of the Quantum Chromodynamics vacuum. In heavy-ion collisions, the CME is expected to result in a charge separation phenomenon across the reaction plane, whose strength could be strongly energy dependent. The previous CME searches have been focused on top RHIC energy collisions. In this Letter, we present a low energy search for the CME in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\rm{NN}}}}=27$ GeV. We measure elliptic flow scaled charge-dependent correlators relative to the event planes that are defined at both mid-rapidity $|η|<1.0$ and at forward rapidity $2.1 < |η|<5.1$. We compare the results based on the directed flow plane ($Ψ_1$) at forward rapidity and the elliptic flow plane ($Ψ_2$) at both central and forward rapidity. The CME scenario is expected to result in a larger correlation relative to $Ψ_1$ than to $Ψ_2$, while a flow driven background scenario would lead to a consistent result for both event planes. In 10-50\% centrality, results using three different event planes are found to be consistent within experimental uncertainties, suggesting a flow driven background scenario dominating the measurement. We obtain an upper limit on the deviation from a flow driven background scenario at the 95\% confidence level. This work opens up a possible road map towards future CME search with the high statistics data from the RHIC Beam Energy Scan Phase-II.

In contrast to the $e \leftrightarrow μ$ CLFV transition for which very stringent limits exist, there is still a relatively large discovery space for the $e \to τ$ CLFV transition, potentially to be explored by the EIC. With the latest detector design of ECCE (EIC Comprehensive Chromodynamics Experiment) and projected integral luminosity of the EIC, we find the $τ$-leptons created in the DIS process $ep\to τX$ are expected to be identified with high efficiency. A first ECCE simulation study, restricted to the 3-prong $τ$-decay mode and with limited statistics for the Standard Model backgrounds, estimates that the EIC will be able to improve the current exclusion limit on $e\to τ$ CLFV by an order of magnitude.

The perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach based on $k_T$ factorization has made a great achievement for the QCD calculation of the hadronic B decays. Regulating the endpoint divergence by the transverse momentum of quarks in the propagators, one can do the perturbation calculation for kinds of diagrams including the annihilation type diagrams. In this paper, we review the current status of PQCD factorization calculation of two-body charmless $B\to PP, PV, VV$ decays up to the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections. two new power suppressed terms in decaying amplitudes are also taken into account. By using the universal input (non-perturbative) parameters, we collected the branching ratios and ${\bf CP}$ asymmetry parameters for all the charmless two body $B$ decays, calculated in the PQCD approach up to the NLO, including some power suppressed terms in decaying amplitudes. The results are compared with the ones from QCD factorization approach, soft-collinear effective theory approach and the current experimental measurements. For most considered B meson decays, the PQCD results for branching ratios agree well with other approaches and the experimental data. The PQCD predictions for the ${\bf CP}$ asymmetry parameters for many of the decay channels do not agree with other approaches, but have a better agreement with the experimental data. The longstanding $K π$ puzzle about the pattern of the direct CP asymmetries of the penguin-dominated $B \to K π$ decays can be understood after the inclusion of the NLO contributions in PQCD. The NLO corrections and power suppressed terms play an important role in the color suppressed and pure annihilation type $B$ decay modes. These rare decays are more sensitive to different types of corrections, providing opportunity to examine the factorization approach with the more precise experimental measurements.

By adopting a methodology proposed by R.J. Adler \etl, we study the interesting analogy between the fermion-gravity and the fermion-electromagnetic interactions in the presence of the minimal Lorentz-violating (LV) fermion coefficients. The one-fermion matrix elements of gravitational interaction (OMEGI) are obtained with a prescribed Lense-Thirring (LT) metric assuming test particle assumption. Quite distinct from the extensively studied linear gravitational potential, the LT metric is an essentially curved metric, and thus reveals the anomalous LV matter-gravity couplings as a manifestation of the so-called gravito-magnetic effects, which go beyond the conventional equivalence principle predictions. By collecting all the spin-dependent operators from the OMEGI with some reasonable assumptions, we get a LV non-relativistic Hamiltonian, from which we derive the anomalous spin precession and gravitational acceleration due to LV. Combined these results with certain spin gravity experiments, we get some rough bounds on several LV parameters, such as $|3\vec{\tilde{H}}-2\vec{b}|\leq1.46\times10^{-5}\mathrm{eV}$, with some ad hoc assumptions.

For the newly discovered $W$-boson mass anomaly, one of the simplest dark matter (DM) models that can account for the anomaly without violating other astrophysical/experimental constraints is the inert two Higgs doublet model, in which the DM mass ($m_{S}$) is found to be within $\sim 54-74$ GeV. In this model, the annihilation of DM via $SS\to b\bar{b}$ and $SS\to WW^{*}$ would produce antiprotons and gamma rays, and may account for the excesses identified previously in both particles. Motivated by this, we re-analyze the AMS-02 antiproton and Fermi-LAT Galactic center gamma-ray data. For the antiproton analysis, the novel treatment is the inclusion of the charge-sign-dependent three-dimensional solar modulation model as constrained by the time-dependent proton data. We find that the excess of antiprotons is more distinct than previous results based on the force-field solar modulation model. The interpretation of this excess as the annihilation of $SS\to WW^{*}$ ($SS\to b\bar{b}$) requires a DM mass of $\sim 40-80$ ($40-60$) GeV and a velocity-averaged cross section of $O(10^{-26})~{\rm cm^3~s^{-1}}$. As for the $γ$-ray data analysis, besides adopting the widely-used spatial template fitting, we employ an orthogonal approach with a data-driven spectral template analysis. The fitting to the GeV $γ$-ray excess yields DM model parameters overlapped with those to fit the antiproton excess via the $WW^{*}$ channel. The consistency of the DM particle properties required to account for the $W$-boson mass anomaly, the GeV antiproton excess, and the GeV $γ$-ray excess suggest a common origin of them.

Notwithstanding decades of progress since Yukawa first developed a description of the force between nucleons in terms of meson exchange, a full understanding of the strong interaction remains a major challenge in modern science. One remaining difficulty arises from the non-perturbative nature of the strong force, which leads to the phenomenon of quark confinement at distances on the order of the size of the proton. Here we show that in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, where quarks and gluons are set free over an extended volume, two species of produced vector (spin-1) mesons, namely $φ$ and $K^{*0}$, emerge with a surprising pattern of global spin alignment. In particular, the global spin alignment for $φ$ is unexpectedly large, while that for $K^{*0}$ is consistent with zero. The observed spin-alignment pattern and magnitude for the $φ$ cannot be explained by conventional mechanisms, while a model with a connection to strong force fields, i.e. an effective proxy description within the Standard Model and Quantum Chromodynamics, accommodates the current data. This connection, if fully established, will open a potential new avenue for studying the behaviour of strong force fields.

In addition to the dominant $P$-wave resonance, the scalar background $f_0(980) \to K^+K^-$ is also accounted for. We improve the Gegenbauer moments in $KK$ two-meson distribution amplitudes by fitting the PQCD factorization formulas to measured branching ratios of three-body and four-body $B$ decays. We extract the branching ratios of two-body $B_{(s)}^0 \to φφ$ decays from the corresponding four-body decay modes and calculate the relevant polarization fractions together with two relative phases $φ_{\parallel,\perp}$, which are consistent with the previous theoretical predictions. The PQCD predictions for the "true" triple product asymmetries (TPAs) are zero which are expected in the standard model due to the vanishing weak phase difference, and support the current data reported by the CDF and LHCb Collaborations. A large "fake" TPA $\mathcal{A}_\text{T-fake}^1=30.4\%$ of the decay $B^0_s \to φφ\to (K^+K^-)(K^+K^-)$ is predicted for the first time, which indicates the presence of the significant final-state interactions. The TPAs of the rare decay channel $B^0 \to φφ\to (K^+K^-)(K^+K^-)$ are also predicted and can be tested in the near future.

The axial-vector mesons $f_1(1285)$ and $f_1(1420)$ are particularly viewed as the mixtures of flavor states $f_n$ and $f_s$ with mixing angle $\varphi$. In order to determine this angle, we study the $B_{d,s}^0\to J/ψf_1(1285,1420)$ and $B_{d,s}^0\to η_c f_1(1285,1420)$ decays in perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach, including the effects of vertex corrections, nonfactorizable diagrams and penguin operators. Not only the branching fractions, but also the direct $CP$ asymmetries and the polarization fractions are calculated. It is found that the branching fractions of these decays are large enough to be measured in the running LHCb and Belle-II experiments. Moreover, in comparison with the observed ${\cal B}(B_{d,s}^0 \to J/ψf_1(1285))$, $B_s^0 \to (J/ψ, η_c) f_1(1420)$ decays have large branching fractions, which could be measured promisingly through $f_1(1420) \to K_S^0 K^\pm π^\mp$ in experiments. We also propose several ratios that could be used to further constrain the absolute value of the mixing angle $\varphi$, but its sign cannot be determined yet in these decays. The direct CP asymmetries of these decays indicate the penguin pollution in the $B_d^0 \to (J/ψ, η_c) f_1$ decays cannot be neglected. We acknowledge that there are large theoretical uncertainties arising from the distribution amplitudes of axial-vector mesons and charmonium states, and more precise nonperturbative parameters are called. The comparisons between our results and future experimental data would help us to understand the nature of $f_1$ states and to test the PQCD approach.

We reanalyze the $Λ_b\to p$ transition form factors in the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach by including higher-twist light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of a $Λ_b$ baryon and a proton. The previous PQCD evaluation performed decades ago with only the leading-twist $Λ_b$ baryon and proton LCDAs gave the form factors, which are two orders of magnitude smaller than indicated by experimental data. We find that the twist-4 $Λ_b$ baryon LCDAs and the twist-4 and -5 proton LCDAs contribute dominantly, and the enhanced form factors become consistent with those from lattice QCD and other nonperturbative methods. The estimated branching ratios of the semileptonic decays $Λ_b\to p\ell\barν_\ell$ and the hadronic decay $Λ_b\to pπ$ are also close to the data. It implies that the $b$ quark mass is not really heavy enough, and higher-power contributions play a crucial role, similar to the observation made in analyses of $B$ meson transition form factors. With the formalism established in this work, we are ready to study various exclusive heavy baryon decays systematically in the PQCD approach.

In this paper, the $IJ=00, 11, 20$ partial wave $ππ$ scattering phase shifts determined by the lattice QCD approach are analyzed by using a novel dispersive solution of the S-matrix, i.e. the PKU representation, in which the unitarity and analyticity of scattering amplitudes are automatically satisfied and the phase shifts are conveniently decomposed into the contributions of the cuts and various poles, including bound states, virtual states and resonances. The contribution of the left-hand cut is estimated by the $SU(2)$ chiral perturbation theory to $\mathcal{O}(p^4)$. The Balanchandran-Nuyts-Roskies relations are considered as constraints to meet the requirements of the crossing symmetry. It is found that the $IJ=00$ $ππ$ scattering phase shifts obtained at $m_π=391$ MeV by Hadron Spectrum Collaboration (HSC) reveal the presence of both a bound state pole and a virtual state pole below the $ππ$ threshold rather than only one bound state pole for the $σ$. To reproduce the lattice phase shifts at $m_π=391$ MeV, a virtual-state pole in the $IJ=20$ channel is found to be necessary in order to balance the left-hand cut effects from the chiral amplitudes. Similar discussions are also carried out for the lattice results with $m_π=236$ MeV from HSC. The observed behaviors of the pole positions with respect to the variation of the pion masses can provide deep insights into our understanding of the dynamical origin of $σ$ resonance.

The nature of dark matter remains obscure in spite of decades of experimental efforts. The mass of dark matter candidates can span a wide range, and its coupling with the Standard Model sector remains uncertain. All these unknowns make the etection of dark matter extremely challenging. Ultralight dark matter, with $m \sim10^{-22}$ eV, is proposed to reconcile the disagreements between observations and predictions from simulations of small-scale structures in the cold dark matter paradigm, while remaining consistent with other observations. Because of its large de Broglie wavelength and large local occupation number within galaxies, ultralight dark matter behaves like a coherently oscillating background field with an oscillating frequency dependent on its mass. If the dark matter particle is a spin-1 dark photon, such as the $U(1)_B$ or $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge boson, it can induce an external oscillating force and lead to displacements of test masses. Such an effect would be observable in the form of periodic variations in the arrival times of radio pulses from highly stable millisecond pulsars. In this study, we search for evidence of ultralight dark photon dark matter (DPDM) using 14-year high-precision observations of 26 pulsars collected with the Parkes Pulsar Timing Array. While no statistically significant signal is found, we place constraints on coupling constants for the $U(1)_B$ and $U(1)_{B-L}$ DPDM. Compared with other experiments, the limits on the dimensionless coupling constant $ε$ achieved in our study are improved by up to two orders of magnitude when the dark photon mass is smaller than $3\times10^{-22}$~eV ($10^{-22}$~eV) for the $U(1)_{B}$ ($U(1)_{B-L}$) scenario.

The branching fractions are determined to be $[5.48\pm0.31~(\rm stat)\pm0.45~(\rm syst)]\times 10^{-5}$ and $[3.53~\pm0.22~(\rm stat)\pm0.13~(\rm syst)]\times 10^{-5}$, respectively. The results are consistent with theoretical predictions. No significant signal is observed for $J/ψ\to μ^+μ^-μ^+μ^-$, and an upper limit on the branching fraction is set at $1.6\times 10^{-6}$ at the 90$\%$ confidence level. A CP asymmetry observable is constructed for the first two channels, which is measured to be $(-0.012\pm0.054\pm0.010)$ and $(0.062\pm0.059\pm0.006)$, respectively. No evidence for CP violation is observed in this process.

Several groups have reported a possible excess of primary electrons at high energies with the joint fit of the positron fraction and total electron/positron spectra. With the latest release of high-precision electron/positron spectra measured by AMS-02, we further confirm this excess by fitting $ΔΦ$ $\rm(i.e., Φ_{e^-}-Φ_{e^+})$ data in this work. Then we investigate the contribution of a single nearby supernova remnant to the primary electron excess and find that Monogem can reasonably account for this excess. Moreover, we predict that the electron spectrum may harden again at a few TeVs due to Vela's contribution. DAMPE, which can accurately measure electrons at TeV scale, is expected to provide the robust test of this new spectral feature in the near future. Finally, we fit the proton spectrum data of DAMPE with Monogem or Loop I. We find that both the primary electron excess and the proton spectral bump could be mainly generated by Monogem.

The chiral magnetic effect (CME) is predicted to occur as a consequence of a local violation of $\cal P$ and $\cal CP$ symmetries of the strong interaction amidst a strong electro-magnetic field generated in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. Experimental manifestation of the CME involves a separation of positively and negatively charged hadrons along the direction of the magnetic field. Previous measurements of the CME-sensitive charge-separation observables remain inconclusive because of large background contributions. In order to better control the influence of signal and backgrounds, the STAR Collaboration performed a blind analysis of a large data sample of approximately 3.8 billion isobar collisions of $^{96}_{44}$Ru+$^{96}_{44}$Ru and $^{96}_{40}$Zr+$^{96}_{40}$Zr at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=200$ GeV. Prior to the blind analysis, the CME signatures are predefined as a significant excess of the CME-sensitive observables in Ru+Ru collisions over those in Zr+Zr collisions, owing to a larger magnetic field in the former. A precision down to 0.4% is achieved, as anticipated, in the relative magnitudes of the pertinent observables between the two isobar systems. Observed differences in the multiplicity and flow harmonics at the matching centrality indicate that the magnitude of the CME background is different between the two species. No CME signature that satisfies the predefined criteria has been observed in isobar collisions in this blind analysis.

In this work, we provide estimates of the branching ratios, direct $CP$ asymmetries and triple product asymmetries in $B_{(s)} \to (ππ)(Kπ)$ decays in the perturbative QCD approach, where the $ππ$ and $Kπ$ invariant mass spectra are dominated by the vector resonances $ρ(770)$ and $K^*(892)$, respectively. Some scalar backgrounds, such as $f_0(500,980) \to ππ$ and $K^*_0(1430) \to Kπ$ are also accounted for. The $ρ(700)$ is parametrized by the Gounaris-Sakurai function. The relativistic Breit-Wigner formula for the $f_0(500)$ and Flatté model for the $f_0(980)$ are adopted to parameterize the time-like scalar form factors $F_S(ω^2)$. We also use the D.V. Bugg model to parameterize the $f_0(500)$ and compare the relevant theoretical predictions from different models. While in the region of $Kπ$ invariant mass, the $K^*_0(1430)$ is described with the LASS lineshape and the $K^*(892)$ is modeled by the Breit-Wigner function. We find that the decay rates for the considered decay modes agree with currently available data within errors. As a by-product, we extract the branching ratios of two-body decays $B_{(s)} \to ρ(770)K^*(892)$ from the corresponding four-body decay modes and calculate the relevant polarization fractions. Our prediction of longitudinal polarization fraction for $B^0\to ρ(770)^0 K^*(892)^0$ decay deviates a lot from the recent LHCb measurement, which should be resolved. It is shown that the direct $CP$ asymmetries are large due to the sizable interference between the tree and penguin contributions, but they are small for the tree-dominant or penguin-dominant processes. The PQCD predictions for the triple product asymmetries are small which are expected in the standard model, and consistent with the current data reported by the LHCb Collaboration. Our results can be tested by the future precise data from the LHCb and Belle II experiments.

The branching fraction is determined to be ${\mathcal B}(Λ\to pμ^- \barν_μ) = [1.48\pm0.21(\rm stat) \pm 0.08(\rm syst)]\times 10^{-4}$, which is a significant improvement in precision over the previous indirect measurements. Combining this result with the world average of ${\mathcal B}(Λ\to p e^- \barν_{e})$, we obtain the ratio, $\frac{Γ(Λ\to p μ^- \barν_μ)}{Γ(Λ\to p e^- \barν_{e})}$, to be $0.178 \pm 0.028$, which agrees with the standard model prediction assuming lepton flavor universality. The asymmetry of the branching fractions of $Λ\to p μ^- \barν_μ$ and $\barΛ \to \bar{p} μ^+ ν_μ$ is also determined, and no evidence for $CP$ violation is found.

The chiral magnetic effect (CME) refers to charge separation along a strong magnetic field due to imbalanced chirality of quarks in local parity and charge-parity violating domains in quantum chromodynamics. The experimental measurement of the charge separation is made difficult by the presence of a major background from elliptic azimuthal anisotropy. This background and the CME signal have different sensitivities to the spectator and participant planes, and could thus be determined by measurements with respect to these planes. We report such measurements in Au+Au collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 200 GeV at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider. It is found that the charge separation, with the flow background removed, is consistent with zero in peripheral (large impact parameter) collisions. Some indication of finite CME signals is seen in mid-central (intermediate impact parameter) collisions. Significant residual background effects may, however, still be present.
