The topic of this paper is the various manifestations of the concept of minimum dwelling, as an alternative inhabitation of the contemporary urban landscape. Financial insecurity, changes in the traditional idea of the family, the new ways of working and the dissemination of immaterial information are only a few of the transformations taking place in the modern era. These transformations lead to a different perception of the domestic space and the requirements of the Home. The paper explores a selection of radical models of domesticity. The point of departure is the modernist typological example of the minimum dwelling: a reduced version of a family apartment.
